Saving Bruno

Last year, my dog, Bruno..whom I gave to my Ex…was in the Animal Shelter. I was working with A Path For Paws where I originally adopted him, but, D. got him back before they could. The Volunteer came back today, informing me that Bruno is back in the shelter for the 3rd time! I immediately filled out the form and gave them my info so they can take him and find him a home. D. was caught dragging and kicking Bruno and since it’s the 3rd time, he is NOT getting him back. Please pray for my puppy… Okay, he is like 5 or 6 now..to heal from any physical or emotional wounds that he has endured and he finds another home, soon. I still can’t take him because

A). He doesn’t get along with cats

B) I am moving, soon.

I will post his picture when I get one and the rescue info if you know anyone interested.

I am making no excuses for D. and his drug addiction. He is obviously hitting the bottom.

I am extremely thankful that God gave me the courage to get out of that relationship/marriage.

Thanks, New Day & Favor

Thank you all so much for your support on my rant, yesterday. One thing I love about WordPress is that I can be myself, incognito without being judged. If you are into judging, you are visiting the wrong blog. It means a lot just to have people listen. Of course, the support helps, too.

That being said;.

After venting to a few close friends before giving it up to God, I slept solid last night, and awoke ready for a new day! It was a lazy day, but the morning was awesome spending Zoom time with my Bible Study Group.

I have a request for you all, if you are so inclined.

Yesterday, I gave a Homeless bag to one of our Homeless, here in Vegas. I buy extra from the store to add to the bags I put together. My heart goes out to them, especially during this heatwave and I have had at least one person ask if I had a bottle of water, I could spare. So, I now make sure to include water, Gatorade, etc.. along with the other stuff. Here’s my request:

If you live in a place with lots of Homeless around, especially during this hot weather. Would you be willing to at least give one or two a bottle of water? Maybe before the Summer is over? After all, water is a basic necessity.

You don’t have to give money or put a bag together and you can pass it out the car window when the Police aren’t around. You don’t even have to tell me, if you do…but it would mean a lot to know we are all helping a fellow man…or woman, as the case may be.

Happy Sunday, tomorrow and Happy Father’s Day to those who celebrate.

Over, Thankfully

It’s been a long week and an even longer weekend.

We hardly had anyone show up for the Moving Sale, yet, most everyone that did, bought something. A neighbor and another couple practically bought out the furniture and quite a few knickknacks; but, there is quite a bit, left…which J. is probably going to throw away. I am going to bag up what I can and drive to Goodwill this week to donate it. J. has health issues but, overplayed the helplessness crap; which was annoying. She also bitched when people needed boxes to take stuff and was not consistent on prices, at all. C. got very upset when J. accused her of cheating her out of money.

There was some good, though..other then the stuff she did sell. I got to meet a girl in my Bible Study whom I had only met on Zoom, and another, local friend showed up, as well.

Truthfully, with Covid19 and it being a 3 day weekend, it was a terrible time for a Yard Sale and I think only about 15 people showed up. Needless to say, everyone is pretty much sore and tired now so, it is a day of rest and maybe not even getting dressed day, for all involved. At our own places, of course.

God Focused

For the last few months during this Pandemic, I have been focusing a lot more on God and what he wants of me. During this trying time, I am extremely thankful for my mobile home even though it’s not where I want to remain much longer.

I have also been seriously studying the book ‘Boundaries’

with my Bible Study group. I am learning so much about myself and how to understand and react to others. Our group leader even sent me the Workbook that goes with it!

I haven’t been called to any dating sites lately. It probably isn’t the best time to be meeting people anyway, what with having to stay home and my weak immune system. Plus, I am praying that God leads me to a Free, Christian one if that’s where/how I am supposed to meet someone.

Anyway, December has arrived and it is the month of celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. I wish you all a very blessed December.
