Sharing Saturday

Good Afternoon,

This is the part of my blog where I Share what I have learned during the week and you join in with your comments. You can Share about anything at all!

Anyway, this week, I have learned that I am stronger than I thought. Both independent wise and physically. I have been making some major decisions lately which is financially responsible and look what Cin and I did, today!

That used to be the table and bench set.

One of the neighbors has offered to help on a few things, but I am proud of what we have accomplished, so far!

Good Day Class,

I really can’t tell you what I learned this week because I don’t know.

I do know Persistence Pays Off, as it took 3x with the For Sale Sign up to sell the house. I also know to hold onto Faith in this situation. Plus, it is amazing how much you actually own when you start packing it in boxes! I already have another Goodwill Bag started.

None of this information was really new to me, as, I have been through this before and will again. So, maybe these are things I relearned.

Hope you all have something new to share about anything at all!

I love to learn new things.

Saturday Sharing

Still blah today, so I am going to have class, early. Looking forward to hearing/reading what everyone has learned.

While I usually go by week, I am going to expand the time, a bit..this week.

Most every night, I listen to The Gentle Whisperer ASMR before going to sleep. Her voice soothes me; especially as she teaches about Russia and the Russian Language. So, here are some facts about Russia to share with you:

1. Russia is the largest Country.

2. Russia has two main dialects.. Northern and Southern

3. Russia celebrates something called Banya which I believe is the beginning of Spring where people hit each other with tree leaves, then apologize and hug. They also eat Pancakes all day long. There is also a different day, I believe, where the body is warmed up by massages before immediately running into the cold, icy water of the River. I could be mistakes, as this might be the same Spring Celebration!

This week I learned that Van Gogh did some of his Art while locked in a Sanitarium.

And what happened to a lot of the cast members of Eight Is Enough.

Hope you all have a good weekend. Most of mine will probably be spent in bed.

Saturday Sharing

Good Morning Class,

Today is a bit different as, I thought we should share where we were or how we heard about the events of 9/11; this being the 20th Anniversary! Most of the bloggers I follow are doing blogs about it, but if you aren’t or just still want to Share, Please do so in the comments.

2001, and I had just gotten married to Idiot in May. I was a Switchboard Operator for the corporate office of Bally Total Fitness in California.

September 11th, I worked from 6 til 3. I hadn’t been at work long and was walking through the showroom when one of the televisions on the bicycle screen showed the first plane hit the Twin Towers. I remember a bunch of us watching in horror as the 2nd plane hit! I called my mom and woke her up, telling her to turn on her television set. Then, I called Idiot. Yes, I think I called my mother, first. Idiot worked for the Naval Base, as a civilian, and the news was saying they weren’t sure if the terrorists would go after the bases. Idiot told me the base was put on strict lockdown and it was a bitch getting on, even as an employee.

Every year, I watch the videos of the events with the people calling from the planes to the survivors stories. I continue to pray for the families of all affected.

That event led to my fear of staying in tall buildings for very long. An apartment penthouse has no appeal to me.

Another Saturday.. Hope you’ve all had a good week.

What did I learn this week?

That my doctors can be annoying and some need a much better bedside or professional manner toward their patients.

That you can find some very interesting and nice things, while Thrifting..if you are willing to look.

That if you’re patient and have faith, good things can happen.. like finally reaching my credit goal for a Pre-Approval Letter.

Please be willing to share what new things you have learned this week. A lot of you are not going to get a passing grade when it comes to participation! Lol
