It’s been really weird. I have been lethargic, like total lack of energy with headaches and nausea. I slept like forever! On and off since around 5 last night until 8 this morning. Add a Migraine to that around 9:30 last night. I am still not myself, yet..but need to try to fight this. I don’t believe it’s COVID and am not going to the doctor unless it continues for a few more days.
CDC has a COVID Tracer which I installed on my phone, but it’s a bit stupid because it traces by zip code. Zip codes cover large areas; wouldn’t that just make people nervous if there was a case? I am probably going to uninstall that app in a few.
My new Realtor never called yesterday, like she said she would and I made myself stay awake for that! I am going to call the office, today. I need to know the next step. I have a For Sale sign ready, but not sure when to set it up. Or, if I would do better with a Realtor. What is it about businesses and their employees lack of communication?
One thing I learned this week from doing research is the law in Nevada that animals are not necessarily taken away from Abusers unless they have been abused 3 times! I have also discovered that my Ex is in jail and hope he stays there so the organization can save Bruno.
I have also had the reminders of giving control to God and trusting in him when I am under stress and unable to change a situation.
As well as, to stop allowing people to use me and not do their jobs, correctly. I am waiting on a call from the Manager of my Mortgage Girl! I am tired of her lack of communication and Follow-Thru.
What have you learned or been particularly reminded of, this last week?
Received my Secret Santa Gifts today and am really excited! I can’t wait to move and set up my new place! The person that had me spent about $40-50!
I answered a question on Reddit about what you believe happens when you die, and was accused of taking the easy way out with Paschal’s Wager. I didn’t even know what that was! I just answered with my belief. And, No, I am not going to share the definition. You get to look it up.
I also looked up the meaning of the word, ‘Dalliance’ so, you could say I learned that, too.
I also learned that I really don’t want to visit Disneyland much anymore because the Racism crap is getting ridiculous. They are redoing all the rides I grew up with and even took out the song ‘Zippity-Doo-Da’ due to being Racist and having roots from ‘Song-Of-The-South’.
I learned a lot of ways to kill a tree (Don’t Ask).
But, the main thing I learned this week is that Red Hot Candy gives me Migraines. I am pretty sure it’s the red dye because I have no problem with Cinnamon. Red Hots are one of my favorite candies, but after having Migraines for 4 days straight, I have no problem going back to missing out.
Hey, it’s Saturday, and this is the part of my blog where I share what I have learned this week. I hope you will join me and share what you’ve learned, in the comments.
1. A Whale is related to the Hippopotamus. This actually came from a blog I Follow, but I can’t find the person to give credit to, so, if it’s you…Thank You!
Facts from ‘The Gentle Barn’ in California. ‘The Gentle Barn’ is an animal rescue organization that rescues abused farm animals. I totally want to visit! Can we say Bucket List item? They even encourage you to Hug A Cow! Okay, back to things learned:
2. The Turkey is the closest living animal to the Dinosaurs. Gives a whole new perspective to Thanksgiving Dinner now, doesn’t it?
3. The Pig actually has dog like tendencies and likes to have their bellies rubbed. *They are also quite smart and they are clean animals when not playing in the mud…but, I knew that.
4. If you are allergic to Wheat (Me) and you usually take GlutenEase Extra Strength, you need to take 2 pills of GlutenEase Regular verses one of Extra Strength, to get the same results. Yeah, that was a tough life lesson.
5. And finally, Critical Racial Theory is now being taught in schools. It’s pretty much Marxism or reverse Racism teaching about all the terrible things White People did, over time
And, the bell has rung so class is over. See you all next week. Same seats. Keep your eyes and ears open to learn something new.
As of yesterday, I have lived in Las Vegas, NV for 7 Years (-5 months in AZ which was a waste of time).
Despite the weather at times, I still love it! The lights, the activity, the people! Even if I didn’t gamble, it’s fun to check out everything in the different hotels and casino’s.
Las Vegas is ever changing so things I remember from visiting when young are long gone, replaced with different things.
Do you like where you live? If money were no object, would you move somewhere else? As much as I like it here, sometimes I wonder about Europe like Austria. The houses are so pretty there in their little villages; but, then I wonder if I would get bored like I did in Arizona, once again coming back here. I have also considered Florida, but, there is to much rain and the size of the bugs there would keep me inside.
Doing a lot better than yesterday, but still a bit tired, so taking it easy, again.
If you are a True Crime Fan, like me, I want to introduce you to Emma Kenny and her Podcast on YouTube every Sunday. She covers horrendous crimes in a way that you can understand and even adds a tiny bit of entertainment value with some of her comments.
For the last few days, I have been following the case and trial of Joel Michael Guy Jr. after being introduced to it by Emma. Joel Michael Guy (JMG) killed his parents when they finally decided to stop supporting him so they could retire. He was in his late 30’s. JMG killed them by stabbing..over 40 times to his father and over 30 to his mother. He then dismembered their bodies and left the parts in chemicals for fast decomposition as well as leaving his mother’s head in a pot on the stove.
Without getting into much more, JMG was smart yet also extremely stupid. I feel his stupidity is what led him to be caught.
If you are into True Crime, I highly recommend you checking out this Podcaster and story.
Cin did not get the Love Seat because B. wasn’t able to pick it up in time. I mean, it was Free! The people weren’t going to hold it, forever. It was first come, first served. Needless to say, someone else’s behind is probably sitting on it right now! Next time, I find one that might work, I will see if I can get the neighbors to help me bring it here for B. to pick up. This is the same guy who painted my house so you know he isn’t the most dependable on timing.
Ame and Ken had their cat put down, this morning. They gave me her cat food.
She was 20 years old.
It’s sad, but:
The neighbors next to them came over and asked if they wanted their bird. So now Ame and Ken..and Jer since he lives there.. have a green parakeet. We’ve determined it’s a girl! The neighbors that originally had kept putting her cage on the porch during the day and taking her in at night. It’s to hot here, for that! I guess Ame went and talked to it, which is why the neighbors offered it to her, stating they can’t keep it because they have a baby. There was a Cheeto at the bottom of the cage so.
At least, this little bird will get a good home, and they won’t be getting a rebound cat, just yet. They need time to grieve.
I cleaned the bathroom, today. You know it was bad when not only do you not know if the pipe is purple or gray, but, you find a tube of lotion which is empty that you have never heard of or use.
While not enough to cause a dent, at least it’s here. It’s enough to get my windows and parts of the ground wet. Plus, I saw lightening in the distance, too.
Nothing really exciting, today. Went for my walk to the mailbox since it was a bit cooler than usual. Plus, checked on my neighbor since a police car was in front of her house, yesterday….Turns out, her neighbors fight a lot so they were there for that. Not her house, after all.
Visited with TR who I haven’t seen in a while…Cleaned the back room, caught up with phone calls, did some reading and tv…the usual..
Had Linner (Lunch/Dinner) with the neighbors on Saturday, which was interesting. Let’s call them Ame and Ken.. Anyway, they seem like nice people but..Ame admitted she has some mental issues and Ken is frying his brain with drugs. They probably both are. They live with his father, Jer, who has been gone for a month and returned, yesterday. Anyway, Linner was okay and Ame even took me to Pinkbox Donuts after, for dessert. The donuts are good and very, unique. What was weird about visiting, though is..they bought a lot of J’s furniture from her yard sale. So, I remembered the sofa I sat on, and the tables I ate at. Weird in a different environment.
Today, Cin took me to the bank before driving around, a bit. It is cool to see the housing options around here, despite the fact, I can’t really look, yet.
