Saturday Sharing

I don’t know what I learned this week. In truth, I am exhausted!

The sale fell through. The guy lost his ID and can’t get a replacement for another week and Whackjob got her Deposit back. But, she gave me $100. for my trouble.

Already showed it to two other people. One guy wanted me to practically give it away and the other family took my info.

Finally got my haircut, then C. and I went gambling for a few after going to Taco Hell. I really do like their Potato Tacos.

Anyway, I am tired and have a feeling I will be showing the house again, tomorrow.

*Facebook just sent a message saying I was hacked and locked my account! This sucks.

Life Update

Yesterday, I went to the doctor for a Mammo and Dexa.  I am hoping my Osteoporosis isn’t worse.  I can’t take most of the medications for it.

Cin took me to look at some awesome mobiles or manufactured homes with land, but the only one with a sign is already under Contract.  However, I think I found my Realtor by doing that

I am not happy with the mortgage girl and hope she is not playing games with the Prequal.  She is supposed to call me, today.

Came home to sad news that Redditgifts is ending. Which means No More Secret Santa. A lot of people are really upset; including me. However, the original person started another one, I believe; or will continue it somehow so ..

People Are Weird

It’s not midnight yet, so it’s technically still Monday and I just recovered from a Migraine from Hell with extreme nausea. Had to wait for two hours before taking Imatrex because my groceries were being delivered via Amazon..

Anyway:

Yesterday, I received a wrong # text of an interesting joke with a big woman dancing and a young girl running to her, crashing into her rear end, then bouncing away…made me think of my blogging buddy Garfield. That sense of humor fits right in….. along with, “Happy Mother’s Day, Titi.” I typed back “Cute..but, you have the wrong number.”.

Later, I get a call from a Landscaping company I have never heard of so I messaged “Can’t talk, text me.”. Now, it gets weird.

The text starts with “Hi”. I’m like “Who is this?”. he gives me a first name so we text for a bit. Then, he asks to call, I’m like “Go a head.”….. I mean he already knows my number.. .. So we chat. He tells me about him and I tell him about me but….his English is very broken and he is evasive to the point of lying on how he got my number. First, “From a friend.”. when I ask who, he says, “Doesn’t matter.”. Then says a different person gave it to his said friend without a name, saying he should call because I might be single…

Seriously, What? Like what bathroom wall is my name on? Lol….. Anyway, he asks for my picture and I am like, “You called me. You send me yours.”. And he kept saying, “You first.” We went round and round until it wasn’t funny anymore. He refused to send his picture and kept saying, “We meet?” and I’m saying “NO!”.

After ending the call, I played Detective….I am really good at it, by the way…Turns out, the guy owns the Landscaping business he called from, there are No pictures of him on the internet since 2014 and only one from then….. He wasn’t cute then so I can imagine what he looks like now. Plus, he told me he has lived here in the US for 20 years, but is still not a legal citizen!..from Mexico…..

It would never work for a few reasons;

The language barrier
The citizenship issue
and the fact that he is evasive and lying on how he got my number!

I finally got tired of playing games and blocked his number.

But, the whole situation definitely kept yesterday, eventful!… Lol

A-Z Challenge-N = The North Pole

We’ve all heard that Santa lives at The North Pole, but, does he?

The North Pole is the northernmost part of the earth lying diametrically opposite The South Pole. There is no land, there. It’s all ice floating at the top of the Arctic Ocean. Animals live there, though; including Polar Bears, Seal, Walrus, Arctic Fox and Reindeer!

The closest City to The North Pole is Logyearbyn/Svalbard, Norway which is halfway between Norway and The North Pole. It is an ancient, mining city and the administrative capital of the archipelago and it’s dedicated to research, education and tourism. It has 2,000 inhabitants with 50 nationalities. There are two main streets, hotels, sports stores and a supermarket. There are also 3,000 Polar Bear so there is high risk for attack. This area is one of the most protected territories in the world, and almost everybody owns a snowmobile.

There is another North Pole, city in Alaska. This one has Christmas year round. Christmas decorations, a store called Santa’s House, streets with names of Kris Kringle Drive and Mistletoe Lane. Nearby is the Chen Lake Recreation Area with beaches, nature trails and picnic areas.

So, I’m thinking, Santa may actually live at The North Pole or at least somewhere near it, but, not the actual one, we know.

Although, I’ll bet that’s where the reindeer stay during the off season; especially Rudolph, as The North Pole experiences total darkness from October to March.

Yesterday Continuation Etc..

I would like to thank you all for your answers on Yesterdays Post and question if you are or are not taking the Covid Vaccine. It makes me happy when we can be adult and share our personal views without arguments and debates or name calling, etc.

My sister sent me a text of everything she believes the vaccines are made of which includes human tissue or blood and dead animal blood. I am going to make my own decision on this. I am doing my own research. I have an appointment scheduled for my first dose next week, and C. also got an appointment at the same place 15 minutes after mine. We also did the same for the 2nd dose in April.

In other news, I just listened to one of the Dr. Suess books which is being banned. “If I Ran The Zoo.” was actually being read aloud. My question is, “What’s wrong with it?” Sure, he mentions Mosques and Noah’s Ark, but I find nothing offensive, there. Maybe, it’s me but I am going to listen to the others also, that are considered Bad, if I can find them.

I believe we should have had a vote in this. I think most people think we are going overboard.

Lots Of Reading

It’s been a quiet day with lots of reading. I’ve finished reading Daniel, so I can lead the study tomorrow; plus, am in the process of reading Ann Rule..You Belong To Me;  and like, 5 other stories.

I joined the Book Exchange-Secret Santa on Reddit, and it was a bit difficult, again. The girl I got likes Fantasy Fiction and books with LGBT characters and Crystals..none of which I know anything about. Luckily, she likes to go to the Library, so I got creative. I got her:

$15.00 Gift Card to Barnes &Noble
Fantasy Fiction book that sounded interesting.
A Tote Bag with a Library theme
And a Library themed Facemask.

She is in California, so I am sure they still have to wear them.

Thanks for the comments/compliments on my haircut.  It’s fun and bouncy.  I am waiting to color it until it gets warmer, here.

Wild & Scary Uber Ride

I am sure most of you have heard of Mr.Toad’s Wild Ride so let me tell you about mine.

I was sitting on the bench at the park entrance during the wind, trying to set up an Uber ride. I guess I put the wrong destination in because I received notice that a driver was coming to take me to City Center. I didn’t even know where or what City Center is and quickly texted the driver the name of my actual destination. When the driver came, I even told him the correct destination. He started driving and said “No English”. Any time I said anything, he said “No English” and after getting on and off the freeway, I was freaking out. I’m like “Just let me off at the next restaurant.” But, he totally ignored me and completed the ride. I was dropped off at an auto parts store and had to get another Uber to pick me up and take me to my actual destination.

Of course I reported this to Uber, but, their Customer Service is only online.

I don’t know if I will get a refund for that ride, but, I should. It was scary watching him go the wrong way from where I really needed to go and ignoring me when I wanted out. I almost felt like I was being abducted.

Uber did say they “Took care of it” …so the driver may have been let go?” As the 2nd driver said, “They should have Google Translate.” He thinks the guy knew English and just took me for a ride.

Freak Wind

I was going to walk to the mailbox today, but, my head said No. I live at the back of the park from the mailboxes, so it is a bit of a distance…Anyway, we had a severe windstorm with sprinkling and I probably would have gotten caught in it.

During this, there was a knock on the door and some people from a local church were passing out Food Boxes. They didn’t care what church we went to, and even asked if we needed prayer. They were from Assemblies-Of-God and the box contained Butter,Sour Cream,Milk,Potatoes,Onions,Carrots,Cheese,Chicken Meatballs and Chicken Legs. While I may not believe the same as them; this is seriously how God wants you to behave and help your community.

Nothing to say about Valentine’s Day. It hasn’t meant much in the last 4-5 years. When your alone, it’s not the same and my memory this year will be my car going away. They are picking her up tomorrow afternoon.

Have a good day, if that’s what you celebrate.

It’s Complimentary

Every week, my friend at ConfusingMiddle gives us a prompt of sorts, and this week is Compliment. Technically, it was last weeks since the new prompt is tomorrow. But, I digress.

The other day, while grocery shopping, a gentlemen said, “I like your hair!”…I don’t because the color is coming out but am waiting til it’s warmer to update it because you have to use cold water to rinse it if you want the color to stay. Yes, I am aware that was a run-on sentence. Take a breath and deal with it…. During the same shopping trip, another gentlemen said, “That outfit looks really nice.” I was wearing black leggings with a silver stripe down one leg and a black shirt with a cat in the middle. Anyway, those Compliments from unknown people really made me smile.

I prefer compliments that are legit and not forced, and I am not afraid of giving them, either.

Workin On The Weekend

Yesterday was spent helping J. pack and get ready for the Moving Sale…after picking up a prescription and getting some groceries. It’s amazing how much she has not done when she has been planning to move since October.

Unfortunately, J. has Hoarder characteristics mixed with Orderliness. It takes her 20 minutes to go through a stack of washcloths to figure out what to keep. Then, things have to be packed just so or all like things put together for the sale. It can try your patience.

I am not going back there until tomorrow; choosing not to get dressed or go out, today. I hurt my foot on her rock pathway and need to rest it.

In other news, referring to my post; ‘Lost A Follower’. One of her friends or followers think they can come on my blog with their thoughts to defend her then accused me of not accepting Free Speech because I deleted it. The difference is that I followed her because I liked her blog. I didn’t go to her site just to comment over something that I witnessed. Plus, I really don’t care about his, her or their opinions. She told me to Go Away so they can do the same.

I would make this blog Private, but then I wouldn’t get any new Followers.
