Actions & Options

So, aside from dreaming and considering moving; C. and I went to look at some Travel Trailers, yesterday.  I fell in love with 2, but, the payments would be to high especially with space rent.  So, there is no point in that.  I have found a few condos which would be perfect, if I qualify.

I need to look into the difference between a Lender and a Realtor, though.  Do they do the same, as far as showing the house, etc?

I am hoping to get a Realtor I know to give me a Free Estimate of what this place is worth so I can sell it, myself.    I also checked with my friend, TR to see if she will take the cats if I haven’t found a place right after my place closes and having to move.  Worse comes to worse, I could wind up in someplace like Siegel, while I find somewhere.  TR responded with a definite Yes!

Spent 15-20 minutes going through a stack of paperwork, today.  While, you can’t tell a difference, I can.

And, that’s what matters.

A-Z Challenge-M = Magic

There is a Magic in the air at Christmas! I can feel it.

Maybe it’s the sense of hope, laughter, excitement and wonder. Maybe, it’s a child experiencing their first Christmas, a lover proposing, friends and relatives visiting from afar, receiving or giving that perfect gift, experiencing your first snowfall, or maybe it’s as simple as being off work for the holiday and not having to get out of your pajamas. Whatever it is, I have experienced it and I experience it, in different ways every year at Christmas time.

I hope that after you read this challenge, you will experience the Magic of Christmas, and maybe look at it, in a way you never have, before.

Tomorrow is N,and I was thinking; we might take a trip to a place that starts with that letter. I’m told it’s pretty cold there, so pack some warm clothing…and I’ll see you, then.

A-Z Challenge-K = Kindness

Before I get into this, I want to check in. A few tears and lots of sleep, today. The hardest part is watching my other cats look for Puma. I wish I could explain, especially to Monkey, why her sister isn’t coming bàck. They were both close.

Puma and Monkey. Puma introduced Monkey to the wall heater.

The family dynamic has changed and it’s sad. I just picture God welcoming Puma into Heaven where she isn’t suffering anymore.

Thank you all for the condolences.

Now, onto K and Kindness:

Kindness should happen every day, but I’ve noticed; around Christmas time, people get extra Kind. The atmosphere and the lights help to enhance the good mood of the season and even acknowledging someone with the greeting of “Merry Christmas” can lift ones mood. … Never mind the whole Happy Holidays thing, this is my challenge blog and it’s about Christmas!… People tend to give to charities and even strangers during the season, when they rarely do the rest of the year. Even church offerings increase from those that only attend maybe twice a year. I experience more laughing, smiling and friendly people at Christmas time, which is part of the reason it’s my favorite Holiday.

A-Z Challenge-G = Gifts

The first gifts were given by the Wise Men to the baby Jesus of Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh per Christian beliefs.

I think the reason we give to each other is to show our love for others the same way the Wise Men celebrated Jesus Birth. There are no physical Gifts we can give to Jesus Christ so we must give to those close to us.

But, must we? Gifts should be given freely and with an open heart. Not a “Oh, since he got me something, I Have to get him something.”. Gifts should not be obligatory nor should you expect to receive. In my opinion, Gifting should be done with care based on what the person would really appreciate. If you try for a gag Gift, be sure you know their sense of humor. I have shared before that I am a Gifter. I keep lists of what to who and when so as not to repeat from one year to the next.

A-Z Challenge – D = Decorating & Department Stores

And, it’s Monday!  Back to the Challenge and my favorite Holiday… Christmas!

Let’s talk about Decorating:

I love Decorating for Christmas.  If I had a big house and a bit of money, I would love to Decorate the entire yard for people to drive by.  Some people take months to Decorate their homes.  Decorating for Christmas inside or outside is easy and doesn’t have to be expensive.  Use ribbons, bows and fabrics, use stuffed animals and dress them for the season…Add cardboard or even pictures of Christmas related items such as Santa and Reindeer.. Maybe, put a Nativity outside to remind people of the real reason for the season, and play some Christmas music out the window to add to the ambiance.  As for inside, string popcorn, tape cards or pictures on the walls, hang socks beside the fireplace or draw one to hang near them.  If you have a tree, decorate that.  Or, just put out anything you own in Christmas colors of red, green, silver and gold.

Now, let’s visit the Department Stores, or at least the catalog:

Sears was a big, Department Store when I was growing up…long before the internet, computers, etc…when children played outside until the street lights came on…but I digress…Anyway, the Sears (and Robucks, I believe) catalog came out every year just for Christmas.  We children, would go through that catalog until the pages were worn making lists of things we wanted from our parents, relatives and Santa Clause.  After Christmas, we…most girls, anyway… would cut pictures of people out of the catalog and have paper families to play with…Oh, you never did that?  Well, to bad.  It helped develop my imagination… Anyway, Christmas was the best time to visit Department Stores because of all the fun Decorations they put up.

Tomorrow is E.  Bet you can’t guess where I might go with it.  I’ll give you a hint… it’s Christmas related. HA!  Sorry, if that wasn’t Helpful.

Stinky Pillow, Plus…

Yesterday, I bought a new pillow. I believe some of my headaches may be coming due to neck issues while sleeping. Walmart had a Memory Foam for less then $10.00. Couldn’t use it last night though, because of the chemical smell. I pray that goes away by tonight.

I’ve also discovered an App called Cureable. They have a Free Trial before charging $12. a month. I guess it takes Migraines and chronic pain issues and teaches you a bit about hows and whys of the brain and pain connection, as well as, exercises and meditation, etc..to monitor it. I am considering the Free Trial to see if it helps, at all. The App even said some medical insurance will cover it. We shall see.

J. gave me the name of the rescue group that took Zorro; and, while I hate to say this..I really think he was put to sleep. He is not listed on their website or Petfinder, even with another name. I checked all day, yesterday. I know I shouldn’t do that, but, I had mu suspicions and hoped he was safe. If he is gone, he is safe now. In his Father’s Arms across The Rainbow Bridge because I believe God takes his animals back.

It’s another gloomy day here in Vegas, and I need to study Daniel so I am able to lead, tomorrow.

Happy Friday, All

Empty Yard Sale

We had 5 people and two drive-bys.

The Positive: Of those 5 people, everyone bought something. The new neighbors bought a lot of her furniture including the extra bedroom set, living room set and dining table set. Also, my friend from Bible Study showed up so I got to meet her in person!

The Negative: 5 people during the entire day. Are people not coming because of Covid and money priorities? Or, is it because of the long weekend, or is it a Vegas thing? Truthfully, I think it’s more due the timing and environment, right mow.

Needless to say, C. says she will never do another one. But, I don’t know. I enjoy Yard Sales, usually. I think life needs to get back to normal so people feel a little more secure with steady and excess income.

I am not setting my alarm for tomorrow. I think I need to let my body wake me up to help prevent Migraines like I had today.

Moodyness

Is that a word? It is now.

It’s still the 1st as I write this to post, tomorrow. In a weird mood today and its not necessarily a good one.

No Stimulus Check yet so no money to refill my AntiDepression Med. Although, will probably take one of the last two, now. The blinds literally broke from the wall over the sink and the Superglue was old so didn’t work. Hung up old kitchen towels, in the meantime, but of course..won’t block out all the light. Not happy going down Memory Lane and seriously feel like crying for no real reason. Yeah, Depression does this! Plus, am tired and headachy, but don’t want to go to sleep, to early.

So, that’s my start to a New Year. I won’t really get into my political views except to say, depressed over that, too. President Trump reminds me so much of my own father. Truthfully, I think it’s terrible the way he has been treated, especially in the last year. And to be honest, I don’t trust Biden with anything!! You don’t have to agree with me. I don’t care. I just need to get these feelings out.

Yes, I know God has it under control and I need to simply trust him. But, I also deserve a day to feel my negative, depressing thoughts, and that’s today.

Hopefully, I will feel better when I hit Post for this, tomorrow.

Gonna take my AntiDepression Med now.

*My meds kicked in last night so the mental madnesz stopped. Major Migraine now, though so going back down with Imatrex.

Moral: Take Your Meds As Directed!

Scary Night

Last night, a helicopter or two were flying around shining their lights in my windows and lighting up the cul-de-sac. This went on for over half hour. It was totally freaky and I couldn’t find anything out about the reason for it. Needless to say, I had a rough time going to sleep but I finally did; and slept til 10:58 a.m!

I think part of sleeping so long is my new mattress. J. was getting rid of a mattress which has barely been used and mine had seen better days. I wasn’t sure I would like it what with its level of firmness, but, I have been sleeping solid so….

I would say Christmas is over but it doesn’t feel like it when gifts continue to arrive. Plus, the Stimulus Check has been approved so that can be considered a gift, in a way.

*That’s all I am saying on that as, not getting into politics.

Governor Rules

New COVID19 rules starting tomorrow per our Governor here in Nevada.

Masks to be worn at all times around others…not sure how that affects eating.. even in the house when visiting. Now people are worried neighbors are going to report on each other! Like what? Are we gonna get arrested? Seriously, the jails would get full and I doubt all the cells are kept empty 6 feet apart. Lol. It’s starting to feel like the Gestapo during the Holocaust….Anyway, restaurants, casinos and churches are cutting down to 25% capacity and private gatherings are being limited to 10 people. It’s better to just stay home as much as possible..easier too.

In other news, Just had to re-sign up for Secret Santa on Reddit. A bit annoying but super thankful I checked. There are almost 57,000 people signed up so far and I seriously don’t want to miss this! Don’t forget, you have until the 7th to sign up, if interested. The minimum is $20. to brighten the year of a stranger and someone will probably brighten your year, too.

I have already written a page of my book. I write as creativity strikes so I see this being a long project.
