Class Cancelled Today

Sharing Saturday is cancelled today due to the fact that I have COVID.

I had a severe Migraine all day yesterday so took the Home Test and tested positive. I went to Emergency last night and had to call 9-1-1 in order to get there. They didn’t do much but calmed the pain so I slept all night when I got home.

I will say I liked the hospital (Henderson Hospital) compared to some I have been to. They are very caring and quick.

I feel Fluish with achey muscles, as well.

I am sure this is more Omicron but the Quarantine is the same.

I guess this is when I can be extra thankful for cell phones.

I hope you all have a good weekend.

Still Sick But Thankful

Took my Home COVID Test and it’s Negative. If I still feel like this tomorrow night, I will take the 2nd one. It’s probably the Flu.

All, I know is, I am tired of this. Tried to sleep and sweat on and off almost all day, Had a Double Migraine, and the Nausea was ridiculous. Just finished a mug of Soup, though and sucking on a Candy Cane now.

I remember when you were sick and you would see the doctor; if he couldn’t actually diagnose you, he would say it was a Virus..

In my case, it doesn’t help that with my Metabolic Disorder and weakened Immune System, when I do get sick, it lasts longer than most.

I was thinking though, and I am thankful to be able to feel pain, and to be normal enough to handle it. A lot of the children born with my Metabolic Disorder are unable to take care of themselves due to extreme physical and mental issues. I have surprised all the doctors for being as old as I am having been born with it,yet, being so close to Normal. The Disease I have is hereditary yet can skip generations.

I’m Here

In my new place, that is. I won’t show you the boxes outside I need to go through but the inside is at least functional.

My muscles ache and I have blisters on my feet so I am planning to play some games and go to bed. Tomorrow I will start putting things away before and after we pick up Monkey and Tara.

As you can tell, there is still a lot more to paint, but I have lots of time.

I am extremely grateful to Cin for letting Suzy and I stay, but really glad it’s over.

Getting Saved, Etc..

My friend over at PurpleSlobInRecovery has been sharing a lot about her Christian Walk, and has requested I share my Testimony.

I was raised as a Catholic and was Baptized as a baby, but, that is not the same as a accepting Christ as my personal Savior! I have always loved to read and my mother kept giving me books. The books were about children in my age group…I was 13 at the time… and I soon discovered they all had the same ending. “Then, I discovered Christ as my Savior, blah.. blah.. blah.” It got to where I would read the last page first, due to the predictability. So, one day, I threw the book across the room and said, “Okay, God, Change Me!”. Mind you, I was 13! The fireworks or lightening I expected didn’t happen, so I was like “Okay, Whatever”. But, the next morning, it was like my world changed! I was seeing clearer and even smelling the flowers! More aware and grateful for the things God put around me.

PurpleSlob is adding something she is grateful for, in her daily Posts until Thanksgiving, so I have decided to try to do the same. I will try to add one thing at the end.

In other news- I was really sick last night and this morning, but am doing better. I hate being sick at other people’s places, but technically, I don’t have my own place, so…

In Good News- Cin saw a bunch of furniture by the Dumpster, so we are really hoping/praying the neighbors are moving soon so I can get my own place. Even small, it can’t be much smaller than the space I have here, plus, I can get my babies, back.

*While I know I complain a bit, I am grateful to Cindy for taking me in. I am sure it was hard to open her house to another person and their cat. That is a sign of a true friend, and I am thankful that God put her in my life.

Halloween

Cin and I went to Red Lobster since we were hungry and I wanted to dress up

When leaving the restaurant, the waitress said “Happy Halloween!” and I said, “Oh, It’s Halloween?, They just said I could come back for the day.”.

Then, we tried a casino we had never been to. It is small, but lots of machines.

Yes, I was the only Adult Customer in Costume, but I don’t care. I enjoyed myself.

We ended the night by watching some stupid movies:

Carrie 2 – Half Sister, Rachel, has Telekinesis, inherited by Carrie and refuses to get help. Pretty much same issues as the first except it’s dumber and not scary or jump worthy at all.

Sleep Away 2- A Transexual escaped a mental hospital and becomes a Counselor. She kills everyone who broke the rules.

Sleep Away 3- She’s Back! The killings went way to fast in this one and we can only hope they don’t make another one.

I highly suggest Not wasting your time on these!

Tomorrow, I am going to probably post my Book Review. ‘ Bitter Is The New Black’ by Jen Lancaster.

Apple Prompt

The Prompt or word of the week at Confusing Middle is Apple. Before I get to it, why don’t you check out the Blog? It’s very interesting and fun. Tell him, Venus sent you. Then, Come Back!

As most of you know, I love to read. Mainly True Stories but a few Fiction Series, as well. The-Flowers-In-The Attic series is one of my favorites. For those of you who don’t know, it’s about 4 children who live in the attic of their Grandparents house and how they escape..or not..but, the books go further to afterwards and when the children grow up and have families of their own. ….What the heck does this have to do with Apples?..I’m glad you asked. Well, actually I am getting there….. In one of the books, a child gets a puppy and names it ‘Apple’! That’s the first thing that came to my mind when I read the Prompt. No, I am not going to tell you what happens to Apple or the children in later years. You need to read the books.

I’ve been sick today and almost went to the hospital. Okay, No, I just really considered it. It is mainly bronchial but with a sore throat, sinus and a terrible headache that wouldn’t quit. But, it finally did, and I took Mucinex, which I think helped a bit. Oh well..I was just thinking that I haven’t been sick in a while and it’s not like I had major (or any) plans this weekend.

Oh, and in case I forgot. Look what came yesterday!

I think it’s the most expensive pillow I have ever had. It’s Sealy with soft, Memory Foam on one side and Firm on the other. I think they call it ‘Alternative Memory Foam”.

Family Distrust And…

It’s sad when you can’t trust family, but, here is the latest:

FS (Foster Sis) is one of the only people I talk to in my family. She keeps in touch with Sis 2, I believe..The Handyman I use is also her sisters ex-husband…Did I lose you yet?… Anyway, FS called this morning to ask me the name of the trailer park that Cin lives in because a friend of a friend needs to find one to live. I have Not talked about moving,to FS in a long time and hardly mention Cins’ living in a trailer park, however I did text my Handyman not long ago asking him how much he would charge to help me move. I seriously think FS is fishing for info to tell me Sis, which she is Not getting.

The Buyers Finally resubmitted the Application today. I want to remain optimistic but with my Bitch Manager, I don’t know.

My pillow should arrive tonight but I can’t hold my breath for that either. With my luck, there will be another delay.

Such is life.

2nd Times The Charm.. Hopefully

Sold Again! This time to a really nice couple who offered a decent price and already handed me a decent sized Deposit. The office is closed today but they are going to contact them tomorrow regarding the Background Check and will keep in touch. They have dogs and cats. They have agreed I can stay at least until the end of the month .

I am praying something opens at the trailer park Cindy lives in, so I will at least have my own place until a condo opens. Plus, I would prefer to keep my little family together, if possible. I might still need to get a storage unit for the Washer/Dryer, Cat Tree, etc.. and will probably get a PO Box until I am settled.

Please pray All works out!

I really believe God is in this!

I am completely done with Facebook and while considering Instagram, I have to wonder Why? My life is not that important that I need to share it all over the place! Things that are important, I can text people or write about on here. Most of my friends aren’t on Facebook much, anyway.. and Instagram will be good if I get into writing, seriously..but I can’t really think of any other good reason.

Writers & Readers

Most Writers seem to also be avid Readers so I decided to update you on what I am reading now.

I am still reading ‘The Rise And Fall Of The Third Reich’ which is a tough one and cannot be read like a normal, easy, reading book since it is about the War! The chronological events of Hitler’s moves as well as the other countries, and how the war started and ended.

So, having run out of other reading material…as, most is packed…I went to Tra’s and got my ‘Wind In The Willows’ book back to reread, as well as, borrowed another book from her. She just got a few used books from someone else… Anyway, today, I started reading ‘Mark Twain A Connecticut Yankee In King Arthur’s Court’.

I know I should be writing more, as, I have stories started, but I am really hoping to have an office space set up to help with that, in the near future. I just can’t seem to focus on it, now.

So, let’s hear your book updates at the moment, if you are Readers as well as Writers.

Beauty Sleep

If Beauty Sleep were real, I should be the most or one of the most beautiful women in the world! I slept round the clock last night..from around 10 p.m. until 10:16 this morning. I don’t know why. I guess my body just needed it.

Needless to say, today wasn’t the most productive. But, I did get my walking in, mailed my form off to renew my Snap Benefits, and signed up to join a Bible Study on Zoom that our church is starting on Wednesday. Monday will be for men and Wednesday nights for women. We will be studying Ephesians.

The illegal fireworks have started… it’s illegal, here in the park… and since I am “That” person, I do have the Report Form on my main page.. just in case. You can report anonymously so at least they can check the neighborhood.

Hope you all have a safe 4th-Of-July!
