Getting Excited

I bought some beautiful peel & stick tile, as well as some paint for my RV… Okay, it’s a Fifth Wheel…I’ll let you guess the paint color. While I miss the idea of getting new furniture, etc.. due to the size…I am definitely going to make the place, Mine! It is being delivered tomorrow and the Handyman is coming on Saturday. I am keeping the girls in the hotel until the 30th so I can get what I need out of storage before they enter.

I am still not planning on living that way, forever..But, I have decided to be grateful for this opportunity that God has provided. So many people are Homeless and/or getting rid of their pets when they have to move. I am doing neither of those things. It’s been a trial living with Cin, but, I am still doing it until I get settled in another week, I hope.

My 2nd batch of Christmas Gifts went out today, which actually consisted of two. What with slow shipping possible, I am trying to mail things as I get them ready.

Sneaky Doctor

So, I went to the Lab today for my Nephrologist and the Phlebotomist (that’s the one who takes blood, for those who don’t know) goes, “Does your insurance usually cover this?”. I’m like, “Yes, I never had a problem, before.”. Then she tells me the doctor added two tests (one a vitamin and one for Iron) that aren’t covered and cost $300 + dollars. I’m like, “Nope. Not paying for those.”. So, I had her delete them from the test. My appointment is on the 5th and if my Nephrologist (Kidney Specialist) says anything, I might just tell her if she wants to pay 300 or whatever dollars, I’ll go back and do it.

Speaking of money, …I was…. I gave a Homeless Bag to a guy who really needed it! Like this guy was totally shaking, and shuffling and in his own world. I don’t know if he was tripping on illegal drugs or what, Hey, maybe he was out of his medicine he can’t afford… it’s not my business. I did say an extra prayer for him, though. It made me feel good to help someone who Really needs it.

See you all tomorrow, and hopefully everyone will think of at least one thing they learned this week, to share with the class.HA! Haven’t decided yet if I will title it, ‘Saturday Share’ or ‘Sharing Saturday’. What sounds better?

A Good Day & Florida

So, today was good.

Cin took me out to a few stores. Plus, I felt good about helping a Homeless Man. He was Shakey and had a hard time walking to the car but I watched him open the bag and immediately drink the water, I’d included. I bought lemon, sparkling water just to put in the Homeless bags.

I’m sure by now, most of you heard about what happened in Florida. Can you imagine? Truthfully, I have a weird feeling it is Terrorist related especially when most everyone there was Jewish. Plus, even the Mayor said, the Inspector had been there the day before and other buildings older than that, haven’t collapsed. My heart and prayers go out to all affected.

Thanks, New Day & Favor

Thank you all so much for your support on my rant, yesterday. One thing I love about WordPress is that I can be myself, incognito without being judged. If you are into judging, you are visiting the wrong blog. It means a lot just to have people listen. Of course, the support helps, too.

That being said;.

After venting to a few close friends before giving it up to God, I slept solid last night, and awoke ready for a new day! It was a lazy day, but the morning was awesome spending Zoom time with my Bible Study Group.

I have a request for you all, if you are so inclined.

Yesterday, I gave a Homeless bag to one of our Homeless, here in Vegas. I buy extra from the store to add to the bags I put together. My heart goes out to them, especially during this heatwave and I have had at least one person ask if I had a bottle of water, I could spare. So, I now make sure to include water, Gatorade, etc.. along with the other stuff. Here’s my request:

If you live in a place with lots of Homeless around, especially during this hot weather. Would you be willing to at least give one or two a bottle of water? Maybe before the Summer is over? After all, water is a basic necessity.

You don’t have to give money or put a bag together and you can pass it out the car window when the Police aren’t around. You don’t even have to tell me, if you do…but it would mean a lot to know we are all helping a fellow man…or woman, as the case may be.

Happy Sunday, tomorrow and Happy Father’s Day to those who celebrate.

What People Give

The Reddit Secret Santa Exchanges are interesting because some people spend the minimum or a bit less, others go way overboard, others go for a happy medium. The minimum minus tax should be $20. There is no maximum. Plus, the gift is based on a list of your person’s likes and dislikes.

I was actually surprised on what I received for my 80’s gift!

I mentioned that I missed listening to the music from Dr. Demento on 97.1 KMET (I even met the great Doctor at the Orange County Fair in California, years ago and have a picture of us.) so she got me a CD. This particular CD is one of, if not, the earliest, with songs from the 1800’s. I definitely would not have purchased it, myself.

I will not say I am disappointed, although, I had most of my list focused on Friday-The-13th. There are always other exchanges, so, you never know.

I am having fun buying gifts for others and knowing they enjoy them. Just like giving food, etc.. bags to the homeless. I helped a man, today.. and it felt good.

Creatively Homeless

Before I get into todays topic, I want to remind you that if your blog is a business or you don’t have a profile picture, I will delete you as a Follower.

The homeless population here in Vegas is pretty large. While, I won’t say it’s getting worse, they are in our faces more due to the police force breaking up their camps….which should not be allowed during Covid, but I digress..

While leaving the grocery store the other day, I had to laugh at a few of the signs. One said, “I hope you have a Happy New Year. Please help me to have one too.” But the 2nd one really caught my attention

” You don’t have to be a Baller to donate a dollar!”

I may start making my food bags to hand out my car windows again, as I saw someone else do.

God Bless You All.
