Saturday Sharing

Hello Class,

Another week has gone by and boy is the year going by fast!

I am glad you are all over 18 because the things I learned are a bit odd.

I watch different cooking shows and it was mentioned on one of them that Pineapple can make your semen taste better. Obviously, this was Not a professional show. Now, I cannot and will not have someone test this to see if it’s a fact. But, if you are a man, you may wish to test it with your woman. No, I really do not care to hear about the results.

The 2nd thing I learned refers to the Holocaust. The selections of how many people were allowed to live when the trains arrived was determined every day by how many workers were needed in the camp; despite the fact that a lot of work was useless.. like moving gigantic cement blocks from one end of the camp to the other.

Looking forward to reading about what you have learned this week. It could be about Anything!

Saturday Sharing

Still blah today, so I am going to have class, early. Looking forward to hearing/reading what everyone has learned.

While I usually go by week, I am going to expand the time, a bit..this week.

Most every night, I listen to The Gentle Whisperer ASMR before going to sleep. Her voice soothes me; especially as she teaches about Russia and the Russian Language. So, here are some facts about Russia to share with you:

1. Russia is the largest Country.

2. Russia has two main dialects.. Northern and Southern

3. Russia celebrates something called Banya which I believe is the beginning of Spring where people hit each other with tree leaves, then apologize and hug. They also eat Pancakes all day long. There is also a different day, I believe, where the body is warmed up by massages before immediately running into the cold, icy water of the River. I could be mistakes, as this might be the same Spring Celebration!

This week I learned that Van Gogh did some of his Art while locked in a Sanitarium.

And what happened to a lot of the cast members of Eight Is Enough.

Hope you all have a good weekend. Most of mine will probably be spent in bed.

Saturday Sharing

Hey, it’s Saturday, and this is the part of my blog where I share what I have learned this week. I hope you will join me and share what you’ve learned, in the comments.

1. A Whale is related to the Hippopotamus. This actually came from a blog I Follow, but I can’t find the person to give credit to, so, if it’s you…Thank You!

Facts from ‘The Gentle Barn’ in California. ‘The Gentle Barn’ is an animal rescue organization that rescues abused farm animals. I totally want to visit! Can we say Bucket List item? They even encourage you to Hug A Cow! Okay, back to things learned:

2. The Turkey is the closest living animal to the Dinosaurs. Gives a whole new perspective to Thanksgiving Dinner now, doesn’t it?

3. The Pig actually has dog like tendencies and likes to have their bellies rubbed. *They are also quite smart and they are clean animals when not playing in the mud…but, I knew that.

4. If you are allergic to Wheat (Me) and you usually take GlutenEase Extra Strength, you need to take 2 pills of GlutenEase Regular verses one of Extra Strength, to get the same results. Yeah, that was a tough life lesson.

5. And finally, Critical Racial Theory is now being taught in schools. It’s pretty much Marxism or reverse Racism teaching about all the terrible things White People did, over time

And, the bell has rung so class is over. See you all next week. Same seats. Keep your eyes and ears open to learn something new.

The Heat Is On

The hottest temperature on record for Nevada was 124 f on June 29, 1994. I can’t imagine! The hottest in Las Vegas was 118.2 f on July 24, 1842, I believe and we have come close lately, matching records of 117 f. The heat is not the worst aspect; the humidity has been really high!

One thing I have learned from this is, I don’t care how much money you have, you don’t need a personal sauna; if you crave that, just step outside for a few.

When it gets hot like this, a few songs come to mind. They are old songs and I don’t remember the bands, but here are the titles:

Some Like It Hot
The Heat Is On Hot Blooded Hot, Hot, Hot

Can you think of any songs with the word “Hot” in the title?

A-Z Challenge-B..Bells & Baubles

When I was growing up, most of us children would go to bed on Christmas Eve listening for the sounds of Bells from Santa’s Sleigh. Of course, sleep would come long before we heard or imagined to hear anything. Jingle Bells or Sleigh Bells produce a distinctive sound. Many Christmas songs are written about Bells for this time of year like ‘Silver Bells’ and ‘Jingle Bells’ plus, even movies reference it, as shown in ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’ with the famous line of “Every time a Bell rings, An Angel gets it wings.”..See what I did there? I tied yesterdays word with todays!..Anyway, church services have also been known to incorporate Bells. In some churches in the U.K.., it’s traditional for the largest Bell to be rung in the hour before midnight on Christmas Eve, and all the Bells rung afterward in celebration!

What’s a Bauble?, you ask? Bauble is another name for ornaments or Balls that hang on the Christmas Tree. It was developed from Old-English.

Sales & World Changes

I am selling the Washer & Dryer that J gave me since they don’t fit. If you know anyone here in Vegas or Henderson, please pass the word. $200. for both and they work fine.

Taking another break from the news, soon. So frustrated with this world. Did you hear about Dr. Suess books being banned because some of his characters could have been considered racist in their appearance?

I am getting so tired of the Bullshit and also seriously concerned for our future.

Slavery cannot even be spoken of.. What’s next? If you were forced to burn your books because of the topics of slavery or race; how would you feel? This is the stuff that happened to the Jews before the Holocaust! We need to try to fight this Idiocy, but how? And, what if they go after our Bible? It’s full of history with wars and slavery.

While this isn’t necessarily about the physical book type items, we can’t let it confuse us. There were Slaves and the Holocaust did happen! Gender is assigned at birth and nothing really changes that. Girls played house with dolls and were taught to be wives and mothers; and boys played with trucks and looked forward to fighting in wars or working in the mud. Boys didn’t care to see dolls in the stores and girls knew trucks and cars were in the Boys Toys section.

We have to hang on to what we know as the truth in our history or history is doomed to repeat itself.

Migraines, Politics & Free Speech

As a Migraine sufferer, I trigger easily. So, I should know better then to look deeply into political news.

I am a Conservative and I am a Trump supporter. I watched a video showing or claiming to show proof that our election was rigged and hacked into by other countries.

* Now, this is Not going to become a Debate nor will I accept demeaning comments or name calling for my beliefs. This is my blog and my beliefs.

That being said, a lot of people debunk this video because of the person who created it. However, he interviewed people in positions of authority who had good points.

Here’s the thing: whether the video in question is right or wrong, why is it getting taken down from most every site it is aired on? Twitter, Facebook, etc.. If this video does not have factual evidence, as stated, why not let people watch it? I do believe the government has something to hide. I am going to remain firm in my faith and pray for our future.

That being said; I am also being careful. I love having a blog here and don’t want to lose it. This is why I am providing No specific information regarding what I am talking about. If you Follow politics, you’ll know.

Be Blessed, Stay Informed and Be Careful
