Before I start this, I have an important Prayer Request:
My friend, Cin, is going to the doctor today to get a Lump on her Breast checked out. Please pray it is nothing or minor. Her appointment is in 1 1/2 hours. 1:00 p.m. Las Vegas time.
As for the title, Here is the situation:
Hot Topic does not communicate with the bank they do business with. Comenity! If you have a billing or payment issue, you need to call the bank, directly.
Comenity is refusing to take responsibility for their action of doing a Hard Pull which affected my credit report, after telling me it was their system error! They actually sent me a notice saying they will not fix this issue, as it would be a ” Good Will Gesture”. NO, it would be fixing their error! I am still waiting to see if Experian can fix things with them.
Anyway, I still like Hot Topic and will continue to purchase from them but will Not use their card. It will be Cash or Debit from now on! Comenity also is behind the cards of Victoria’s Secret, Wayfair, Woman Within, and more!
So, the moral of this is; Do your research on the bank before signing up for the store card. Plus, when you get angry with a company, be sure it is with the right department!
I have now chosen to avoid cards backed by Comenity Bank, and I hope others do too.
Cream Soda is delicious! Except when you’re wearing it. I opened the bottle and it went crazy! All over me, my bed, my phone, my glasses!
Thank God for bathtubs, clean water and bath oil.
Today wasn’t the best. Tried nursing a headache without Imatrex. Slept over 4 hours. It’s still here. Think it’s part sinus. I only get so many Imatrex a month so ..
Other than that, I have to laugh. I am a 56 year old woman who still enjoys Sesame Street. Today was brought to you by the letter P and we learned about Patterns, as well as, learned a new dance with 3 moves. Plus, Cookie Monster ate an Apple, which is totally wrong…It should have been an apple flavored cookie!
A few days ago, I posted about my favorite color which is Purple 💜 and the fact that I Hate & Detest the color Pink! Seriously, I refuse to even own anything with Pink unless it’s a cat toy they chew up. Food is okay because it doesn’t stick around.
Anyway, I am now going to tell you all why I feel this way:
My Grandmother was a very mean and selfish woman. I seriously have no good memories of her. I visited and stayed in her apartment once. Her favorite color was Pink. From the carpet to the walls to the towels..you couldn’t get away from it. It looked like a Pepto-Bismal explosion. She also had 4-6 locks on the door including a hook to hold the doorknob. I was terrified if there were a fire I would have to jump out the window and land on the cement, below! I firmly believe that has a lot to do with my hatred of the color.
Of course, I was never in to frilly, lacy, crap either and the color being discussed fits right in with that.
Do you have a color you hate? Any particular reason why?
This challenge is about Christmas for me because it’s my favorite Holiday! If you’re not in the spirit, you might want to keep scrolling.
Vague is a term that’s a bit hard to explain. It isn’t in black or white and it isn’t specific.
In terms of Christmas, there are times when you have to be Vague with your answers especially to questions like, “Did you get me a present?, Did you get the skateboard I want?, Is Santa real?, Is so and so coming?”. Sometimes, you just really want to keep the surprise. And don’t forget, ” Did you like the thing I gave you?”. Christmas is no time to be hurting another’s feelings.
Got my 2nd Covid vaccine this morning and it’s been a bit different from the 1st. I have a metabolic disorder and have had a kidney transplant so I have a weak immune system. Anyway, with the 1st, I got dizzy and headachy within the first 20 minutes which turned into a migraine then felt like a sinus infection for a day and a half. This morning, the shot did not hurt going in (the last one did) but I felt the cold water (medicine) coursing through my body…That happens sometimes with my Imatrex, too… I came home and took a hot bath before getting ready for bed. Still a little chilled and a minor headache so far.
Have I mentioned lately that I have super, smart, Followers? Well, my favorite, recovering slob nailed it, this time. If you haven’t checked out her site, you should
, I believe. She can correct me in the comments, if I’m wrong.
Anyway, onto our Christmas Quest:
Have you ever been on the Quest to find the perfect gift? Maybe, you want to get something unique, that noone including the recipient would think of, or maybe it’s something specific they asked for.
When I was young, I believe it was the Cabbage Patch Doll. My parents had to go to store after store discovering they were sold out before finally finding one. This was before the internet and cell phones… when people simply waited in lines at stores hoping the popular toy was in stock.
Or, even going to the mall with friends at Christmas time was a Quest. You had your list of people and possible ideas, but there was a time frame and budget to get it all done.
And tomorrow is R. It might be a little advice to help you out. I’ll give you a hint. It’s not Rudolph! Lol
There is a Magic in the air at Christmas! I can feel it.
Maybe it’s the sense of hope, laughter, excitement and wonder. Maybe, it’s a child experiencing their first Christmas, a lover proposing, friends and relatives visiting from afar, receiving or giving that perfect gift, experiencing your first snowfall, or maybe it’s as simple as being off work for the holiday and not having to get out of your pajamas. Whatever it is, I have experienced it and I experience it, in different ways every year at Christmas time.
I hope that after you read this challenge, you will experience the Magic of Christmas, and maybe look at it, in a way you never have, before.
Tomorrow is N,and I was thinking; we might take a trip to a place that starts with that letter. I’m told it’s pretty cold there, so pack some warm clothing…and I’ll see you, then.
Since my immune system has never been like others; I get reactions when most people don’t. Which is what happened, yesterday.
C. and I were headed to our Covid Vaccine appointment when they called to reschedule; so we had an hour to kill. We went to McDonald’s, then to Home Depot where I picked some color swatches for the house. I think I will email them to the manager for approval
Upon arriving at the pharmacy, they checked us in and gave us a form to fill out which is simply a statistics sheet of where you fit in to be vaccinated..age range, race, reason (healthcare worker, disability, etc..). The pharmacist gave the usual spiel…could cause this, that, etc.. before giving the vaccine, then you had to wait 15 minutes before leaving. They set a timer.
Within 10 minutes, I was feeling a little dizzy. That passed, but then I developed a headache which turned into a Migraine within a few hours plus muscle aches. The Migraine finally stopped around 2:30 this morning after giving in to Imatrex around 10:30. The main problem now is the cough. It’s a dry cough and started some time during the night. And of course, I have no cough medicine.
I have to believe if the first dose affected me like this, the next dose should be easier, or at least I know what to expect. Maybe, I will just react opposite then most.
It’s a windy day anyway, so I am going to take it easy and stay warm.
I think we all tend to want what we don’t have but only God knows if it will really make our lives better.
Last year when things were really bad financially, I sold my Washer & Dryer. Doing laundry in the sink was terrible, as clothes do not come out completely clean and wringing them out was next to impossible so they would take a day or so to dry and although they might smell clean; it wasn’t the same type clean and was still extremely staticky. Fast forward, I have sold my car and used some of the money for a Washer & Dryer. While, I think I overpaid in the end, I am very excited and am washing almost all my laundry, today. At least all the dirty and questionable stuff.
I am sure a lot of you grew up with Washers & Dryers, Dishwashers, Running Water & Electricity…but, what of those who didn’t or don’t have them? I was watching a video about people who live in the Slums of India with only a well for water and a restroom they have to share with neighbors or go into a dirty stream. Some people have really done up their Slums cute as, they do have kitchens and some have television sets but most sleep on the floor and beg for food; most children don’t have shoes and their playground is the dump. Could you live like that?
When I start to get depressed or ungrateful, I tend to watch those types of shows to remind myself of how blessed I am
Even when I had a water leak and had to go outside to turn the water off & on before and after each restroom trip during the Winter last year, I was still blessed, as it was temporary.
Have you ever read an erotic portion in a book that made your body react in a way that surprised you?
I am a grown woman and I expect my body’s reaction to soft porn, but this was Not a soft porn book. It is a chapter of a book when two lovers reunite after years of separation.
The book is titled ‘Endless Love’ and it’s a novel by Scott Spencer..copywrite 1979. The book is about a teenager obsessed and when he is banned from seeing his girlfriend for 30 days, he sets fire to her house…not necessarily in retaliation; but, he wanted to save her from the fire and be a hero to the family. There is so much more to this book..placed in a time of sexual awareness and drugs, as well as, family openness.
It resonates with me because I have been in both positions in past relationships. I have been the obsessive one who begged and pleaded for my lover not to leave me and I have also been the one obsessed over to the point of being stalked and having to get away where they couldn’t locate me.
Back to the book: I can’t say whether I do or do not recommend this book, as, it would depend on how much you can take…without crossing the Porn line.
Been having some health issues and a bit concerned. Possible kidney infection due to weird symptoms so went for labs Friday morning. It’s been almost 14 years since my Transplant and I am praying it is a minor infection, if that, verses rejection. Infection can be treated with medication modification while rejection could mean dialysis and another transplant. Prayers Please.
Then after labs, I visited J. while the cats were picked up from the rescue organization. So sad. Princess was terrified and didn’t want to get in the carrier. We chased her for like an hour to grab her. Then I found out the last time J picked her up was to spank her so she probably thought she was in trouble.
The girl that picked them up was really rude, too. But in good news, both cats are now at Petsmart waiting to be adopted and being listed as bonded so they go together.
What’s stupid though is the organization is calling Tazzy..Alexey and Princess..Tazzy. I sent them an anonymous email asking them to please change Princesses name as she has to be confused enough. She doesn’t need more stress by being called the name of her brother.
The organization itself is pretty good, though…as, I think that’s the same organization we adopted Puma from. It’s called Foreclosed Upon Pets.
