I bought some beautiful peel & stick tile, as well as some paint for my RV… Okay, it’s a Fifth Wheel…I’ll let you guess the paint color. While I miss the idea of getting new furniture, etc.. due to the size…I am definitely going to make the place, Mine! It is being delivered tomorrow and the Handyman is coming on Saturday. I am keeping the girls in the hotel until the 30th so I can get what I need out of storage before they enter.
I am still not planning on living that way, forever..But, I have decided to be grateful for this opportunity that God has provided. So many people are Homeless and/or getting rid of their pets when they have to move. I am doing neither of those things. It’s been a trial living with Cin, but, I am still doing it until I get settled in another week, I hope.
My 2nd batch of Christmas Gifts went out today, which actually consisted of two. What with slow shipping possible, I am trying to mail things as I get them ready.
My Ex is still in jail and the bail option is gone! I think it’s because he is probably homeless and a flight risk. He is considered a Pretrial Misdemeanant. I really don’t care! I was only following him on the jail website due to Bruno. I wanted him to stay in jail so the rescue organization could get the dog.
They are picking up Bruno today from the shelter at the first available appointment! I am so happy! I just know Bruno will be adopted by a loving family, maybe he will even get a yard to play in.
If you or anyone you know is interested in adopting a male 5-6 year old Chiweenie, let me know and I will give you the rescue information
Today was Matching for Arbitrary Day on Reddit Gifts Secret Santa Exchanges. Arbitrary Day is like the regular Secret Santa, but mid-year. I am really excited at who I got this time, as, she was super easy to buy for! She is 19, studying to become a teacher, likes Hello Kitty and has 5 cats. Plus, she and her boyfriend are going to be getting married and moving, soon. I found some really cool stuff from Hot Topic that I think she will love! My info was also pulled, already! Over 8,000 people signed up for this one… probably because it is the last year… and most seem really excited about following through!
I am feeling a bit better, today, although I am still a little hoarse and at one point, my ear rang…No, I didn’t answer it! I pretty much took it easy and didn’t clean, either.
We had like 2 minutes of rain, here; which sounded and smelled nice, but really didn’t help our water shortage.
There is a Magic in the air at Christmas! I can feel it.
Maybe it’s the sense of hope, laughter, excitement and wonder. Maybe, it’s a child experiencing their first Christmas, a lover proposing, friends and relatives visiting from afar, receiving or giving that perfect gift, experiencing your first snowfall, or maybe it’s as simple as being off work for the holiday and not having to get out of your pajamas. Whatever it is, I have experienced it and I experience it, in different ways every year at Christmas time.
I hope that after you read this challenge, you will experience the Magic of Christmas, and maybe look at it, in a way you never have, before.
Tomorrow is N,and I was thinking; we might take a trip to a place that starts with that letter. I’m told it’s pretty cold there, so pack some warm clothing…and I’ll see you, then.
Yay! It’s April and time for the A-Z Challenge! This year I am going to write about my favorite Holiday which is Christmas! So, let’s start with:
A – Angels
Since Christmas to Christians is the birth of Christ, we believe in and a lot of people collect Angels. We believe an Angel appeared to Mary telling her not to fear when she was with child and also to Joseph telling him to take Mary as his wife. There are many different types of Angels and you can find most all types of items related to them especially around Christmas time.
My friend K, used to collect Angels but has moved a lot and does not have them anymore. I, on the other hand, am not really into them but I did receive an Angel shaped candle at Christmas, which I took the wick out of.
Many Christmas songs are also about Angels; such as ‘Angels We Have Heard On High’ and’The First Noel’.
Tomorrow is B and this should be fun! If I run out of letters, I may sneak some surprises in, so Stay Tuned!
Last year was my first year doing Reddit Secret Santa and I was a bit disappointed because the gift I received was completely random and nothing I was into or wanted. It was like the person just looked at the website for Uncommon Goods and picked the first $20. item.
Fast forward to this year:
Once again, I gave my Santa quite a few options of my interests. They sent me a message that something was coming and apologized for not finding it in Purple. After waiting impatiently for two days, it arrived!
So excited to learn how to make Sushi!
And so thankful to the stranger who followed the Secret Santa rules and sent a thoughtful gift.
Will definitely be taking part and encouraging others to take part in the Reddit Secret Santa Exchange for years to come!
*Reddit has other exchanges throughout the year, but, this is the main event.
I know I haven’t blogged every day minus Sunday like I should but right now I am seriously Obsessed over Reddit Secret Santa and I hate to drive you all crazy.
My guy got the first part of his gift the other day and I received a message last night that mine is in the mail! They actually tried this time and read my form even apologizing for whatever it is not being Purple.
I am living vicariously through the Gallery as people post the gifts received. It’s amazing what strangers are sending other strangers!
Plus, I have two friends involved this time so we’ve been on the phone for hours comparing and helping each other with our Matches and sharing gifts received. My BFF received expensive Chocolate for her, gluten-free and healthy dog treats for her dog, and a shirt is on the way! We did some research and the guy who had her is in Michigan.
Anyway, will try to post more often and discuss other topics.
Please pass if I go on and on. I won’t cry…to much.
