Losing Weight & Other Health Issues

So, you want to lose Weight? Well, before I tell you my way of doing it, let’s talk about the word “Lose”, shall we? Most of the time when people “lose” something, they want to find it again…Car Keys, A Contact Lens, An Earring… Technically, you want to get rid of or shed Weight, not “lose” it.

Okay, so here is my hint. Get COVID-19 or Omicron! And be sure it makes you lose most or all of your sense of Taste and Smell! No, I am not kidding. I’ve lost 6 pounds in the last few months! Luckily, I am still at a really healthy weight but I wouldn’t mind regaining a few pounds.

Truthfully, this sucks! Unless, it’s extremely spicy, I can’t taste anything and never mind smell! I have to remember to clean the litter boxes because I can’t smell them.

Getting COVID-19 is easy! Don’t wear a mask, go into large crowds of people, have someone who has it come over and cough on you..Heck, I don’t know how I got it, but wish I could get over it!

I am getting lots of rest, drinking fluids and eating for energy, but can barely talk and get worn out simply scooping litter boxes, doing dishes or walking to the mailbox or trash bins.

I am so thankful to friends who are helping me and praying for me, at this time. I know I will get through this. It’s just a rough road, at present.

I thank God that I am able to deal with this at home so I can stay with my Fur-Children, and look forward to his great Healing in the hopefully near future.

Class Cancelled Today

Sharing Saturday is cancelled today due to the fact that I have COVID.

I had a severe Migraine all day yesterday so took the Home Test and tested positive. I went to Emergency last night and had to call 9-1-1 in order to get there. They didn’t do much but calmed the pain so I slept all night when I got home.

I will say I liked the hospital (Henderson Hospital) compared to some I have been to. They are very caring and quick.

I feel Fluish with achey muscles, as well.

I am sure this is more Omicron but the Quarantine is the same.

I guess this is when I can be extra thankful for cell phones.

I hope you all have a good weekend.

How I Feel

It’s been really weird. I have been lethargic, like total lack of energy with headaches and nausea. I slept like forever! On and off since around 5 last night until 8 this morning. Add a Migraine to that around 9:30 last night. I am still not myself, yet..but need to try to fight this. I don’t believe it’s COVID and am not going to the doctor unless it continues for a few more days.

CDC has a COVID Tracer which I installed on my phone, but it’s a bit stupid because it traces by zip code. Zip codes cover large areas; wouldn’t that just make people nervous if there was a case? I am probably going to uninstall that app in a few.

My new Realtor never called yesterday, like she said she would and I made myself stay awake for that! I am going to call the office, today. I need to know the next step. I have a For Sale sign ready, but not sure when to set it up. Or, if I would do better with a Realtor. What is it about businesses and their employees lack of communication?

Technically, it’s tomorrow

I try to Post every day except Sunday and even though it’s after midnight, I am still referring to it as my Wednesday Post.

I found a few ways to go on buying a place.. through Zillow where I found the Listing or through an old friend who is a Realtor and helped me, before.

My house is almost finished being painted.. just the trim is left and that will be done this weekend.. hopefully.

Finally went to Krispy Kreme to get my Free Donut since I got the COVID Vaccines. To bad, I don’t live closer to one. Those donuts are delicious.

A-Z Challenge- W =Winter

We all know Christmas is during the Winter time. Especially with songs like ‘Winter Wonderland’ to remind us. Sometimes, I wonder if people who live in cold climates enjoy Christmas at Winter. They are already used to the cold and snow.

Having always lived in warm climates.. California, Arizona and Nevada…I enjoy watching snow fall and imagining sleigh rides, Frosty and Rudolph. I love decorating my house with Snowmen at Christmas. But, I am sure I wouldn’t feel the same if I lived somewhere where Winter is cold and snowy all the time. What are your thoughts on this?

*Health Update- Had my 2nd COVID Vaccine yesterday and am achey and exhausted, today. Also, had a Migraine, but that wasn’t a surprise. I have been eating and drinking lots of fluids including Water and Gatorade. But, the weakness and exhaustion is annoying. Plus, hot and cold.. like the Flu.

I hope I feel better, tomorrow. I really need to walk to the mailboxes to get some packages that arrived. They are at the other end of the Mobile Home Park.

A-Z Challenge-V = Vague

This challenge is about Christmas for me because it’s my favorite Holiday! If you’re not in the spirit, you might want to keep scrolling.

Vague is a term that’s a bit hard to explain. It isn’t in black or white and it isn’t specific.

In terms of Christmas, there are times when you have to be Vague with your answers especially to questions like, “Did you get me a present?, Did you get the skateboard I want?, Is Santa real?, Is so and so coming?”. Sometimes, you just really want to keep the surprise. And don’t forget, ” Did you like the thing I gave you?”. Christmas is no time to be hurting another’s feelings.

Got my 2nd Covid vaccine this morning and it’s been a bit different from the 1st. I have a metabolic disorder and have had a kidney transplant so I have a weak immune system. Anyway, with the 1st, I got dizzy and headachy within the first 20 minutes which turned into a migraine then felt like a sinus infection for a day and a half. This morning, the shot did not hurt going in (the last one did) but I felt the cold water (medicine) coursing through my body…That happens sometimes with my Imatrex, too… I came home and took a hot bath before getting ready for bed. Still a little chilled and a minor headache so far.

Will keep you all updated.

A-Z Challenge-U = Understanding & Underwear

Christmas can be extremely stressfull, as mentioned previously. So, we need to be Understanding when parents, relatives or even strangers lash out. Not everyone gets to experience a peaceful, quiet, Christmas. Some people are homeless and others have to work. It’s hard to have that Holiday spirit.

When it comes to Underwear; Please remember what a terrible gift that is.

As a young adult, my sister gave me Underwear for Christmas one year. I am sure they were pretty, but, they were opened in front of the entire family, and I got super embarrassed. If you or your significant other want to get each other Underwear or Laungerie, that’s different. But, keep in mind, when and where the gift will be opened.

Monday is V and we have almost finished.

Monday morning is my 2nd Covid vaccine and I pray I don’t have side effects. Just know that if I miss a day or so due to sickness, I will still finish this challenge… although it might be a little late.

Yesterday Continuation Etc..

I would like to thank you all for your answers on Yesterdays Post and question if you are or are not taking the Covid Vaccine. It makes me happy when we can be adult and share our personal views without arguments and debates or name calling, etc.

My sister sent me a text of everything she believes the vaccines are made of which includes human tissue or blood and dead animal blood. I am going to make my own decision on this. I am doing my own research. I have an appointment scheduled for my first dose next week, and C. also got an appointment at the same place 15 minutes after mine. We also did the same for the 2nd dose in April.

In other news, I just listened to one of the Dr. Suess books which is being banned. “If I Ran The Zoo.” was actually being read aloud. My question is, “What’s wrong with it?” Sure, he mentions Mosques and Noah’s Ark, but I find nothing offensive, there. Maybe, it’s me but I am going to listen to the others also, that are considered Bad, if I can find them.

I believe we should have had a vote in this. I think most people think we are going overboard.

COVID Vaccine-Pro Or Con

Before you answer, let me explain my day and why I am asking;

Had a Migraine and right before I went to sleep, my sister called. We got on the subject. And, she seriously freaked out on me. She is Anti Covid Vaccine for herself and I guess for others also. She believes it’s the Mark-Of-The-Beast plus she believes all she reads of people dying from it…… Needless to say, her freak out caused my Migraine to become a double whammy needing two Imatrex…or a whole pill to go away.

I don’t want this topic to become a debate but I would like to know if you personally are getting the vaccine and why or why not? Also, if you have the choice which one are you choosing?

Gifting Obsessed

I admit it. I am Obsessed. I love getting gifts for people. I have so much fun finding the perfect gift for a Birthday or Holiday. One that reflects me yet, helps the recipient to have a wonderful celebration!

My friend Bri and I used to always try to top each other with weird gifts..at least until a few years ago. However, I have done it now! He is turning 60 and I am sending him a Potato Parcel. Yep, it’s exactly as it sounds..a funny box containing a potato with a message on it. I also added a plush potato since I am sure the real one will rot eventually.

Anyway, I keep lists of friends likes and dislikes as well as lists of what I’ve given the year before so as not to give duplicates. I would probably make a good personal shopper via internet for those that don’t have time. But, I would need to figure out how the payment aspect would work..or I suppose I could simply make recommendations.

I used to put boxes together for victims of fires, floods, etc..I would mail them to the city that was damaged and then started asking for acknowledgments of where they were received. I remember the first box I mailed contained a skirt and a flower pot. My mother thought I was being ridiculous..but you don’t know what people miss when they have lost Everything! Anyway, after 9/11 hit, I couldn’t mail my boxes without a specific name or address.

I did help a few locals after nearby fires but I had to sneak so the Red Cross didn’t see me. Now with COVID, that’s not possible. That was another possible at home idea, but of course, that’s charity and no way to make money.

I recolored my hair today and I love it!
