Preparation & Motivation

Yesterday, my neighbor came by, along with his Cousin.  His Cousin is very interested in purchasing my place (which isn’t even up for Sale, yet!). That knowledge has given me serious Motivation.

I started the Pre-qualification Process with a mortgage company through Zillow, while the house was being painted on the outside this morning – I scrubbed like a crazy person on some of the cabinets and counters.  I did not do the entire kitchen at once, for various reasons, and… although, this might sound silly to some…I packed a box which includes Pumas’ Ashes.  I have written Fragile, Important and Puma on the box for when it is actually moved.  But, I know I will not be having her Ashes turned into anything until I get settled in my next place….  I haven’t given up the RV idea, if I could find an affordable one, I really like.  It’s funny, but even being smaller than here..some of those places feel huge!

Anyway, tomorrow should be the final day of painting the house, plus, it’s another early morning so I am going to call it an early night.

Have a great and blessed Sunday!

Hoarder Verses Slob

I just finished watching an episode of Hoarders. I know people that are Hoarders and when they watch that program, they say, “At least, I am not that bad.”. How is that even a comparison? To even say that; means you might have a problem.

I, myself, am not a Hoarder, but I am a Slob in some areas. Getting this house ready to sell is bringing those areas to my attention. I need to clean my kitchen cabinets, but first, I am attacking the stove. I use the same burner most of the time and the grease build-up is incredible! Where would you say is your worst area to keep up with?

On another topic, Cin is in the hospital. She is constantly in AFIB with her heart and I think they are doing a (hopefully, minor) surgery. She is 63 years old.

Prayers, Please.

Attacking Paperwork; Slow And Steady.

So, the other day when I didn’t feel like it, I actually accomplished this.

It may not look like much but when you are alone and don’t own a shredder, it takes a while. However, I just turned on the radio and tackled it with a few book breaks in the middle.

Now, I only have this left

I think…Yeah, Fonster guards it…That stack will be even more time consuming since it needs to be sorted and put into the file cabinet.

Oh well, it’s not like I don’t have time or it needs to be done at once. The problem will be retraining myself to shred, toss and sort every time I get the mail.

Without A Migraine…Almost

I don’t have Migraines every day, but I do get them a lot and anything out of the ordinary can trigger them.  Like the Power Outtage that started a few hours ago and it’s getting cold.  C. offered to come get me but I am a big girl and can handle this. I have blankets and a soft, plush, long one piece if it gets to cold.  Plus, the Imatrex should knock me out and hopefully it will be back on in a few hours.

Other then that,  next week we are going to study Philemon in Bible Study and I am going to lead.

Did some sorting of paperwork today; not much, but I can tell the difference.

Plus, my new toaster arrived. Now, I just have to get bread, bagels and jam or cream cheese. The toaster isn’t purple only because I can’t afford it yet. They charge double the regular toaster just for the color.

Out With Old, In With New

I read and Follow a lot of cleaning and organizing, as well as Hoarding type blogs, to keep me on track and motivated.

The Holidays are the best times to do your major cleanouts because you have no idea what you will receive. You may think you will receive nothing, but isn’t Christmas about surprises? You never know just who might be thinking of you and get you something to show it. Plus, this is also the time a lot of organizations are asking for lightly used toys, clothing and household goods.

It’s the time for Good will and Good cheer.
