Cin likes to help people, as do I; so upon leaving the grocery store,we saw a man struggling with bags of groceries. Cin drove over and asked him if he needed a ride, for which he was grateful. While going to his place, we got to talking about how he is a Christian and helps his neighbors, so I donated my current Homeless Bag to him to help. I offered to help carry his bags to his apartment, which was really close to the car… Here’s where the sad part comes in. … We put the bags in the doorway of an empty, apartment living room full of trash and 2-3 little children sitting in it. It wasn’t trash like animal waste and the children were clothed..but… I feel so sad. Seriously, there was NO furniture! I just wanted to hug them or take them out of there for a while. God knows what the bedroom/s look like. I wonder if they have beds or blankets..or believe or count on Santa Clause at Christmas! On the other hand, I believe they are fed.. what with all the food he got, and their clothes were decent and they have a roof over their heads.
I don’t know the situation but will be adding those, beautiful children onto my prayer list.
In actuality, the entire weekend was slow and I didn’t accomplish much.
But, I definitely accomplished eating! MyFitnessPalApp told me if I ate the way I did yesterday, for the next 5 days; I can gain 20 pounds! Well, isn’t that a lovely reminder to get off my butt and move. No, MyFitnessPal App didn’t actually talk, it wrote those words in the summary.
I didn’t even listen to church, yesterday..so will definitely do that today. I have been listening to James White who is a powerful Christian debater who defends Christianity from a biblical perspective: and, his views on Catholicism and Homosexuality, among others, on Sermon Central.
I did have a long chat with my BFF and caught up with my friend in Texas, though.
We had a little bit of rain yesterday though not enough to fill our lake. And, I believe there is a 46 percent chance of rain, today.
My Sister who I am NOT speaking to or is not speaking to me… whatever…gave my new phone number to an Ex-Friend that I want nothing to do with! She knows this and probably gave her my number to simply Piss Me Off! Well, it worked. However, upon receiving the text from Ex-Friend stating she wants to talk to me, I simply responded with, “I am really not interested.” and that ended that. Her numbers have been Blocked.
As for my Sis, I am NOT going to confront her.. although, I would damn well like to… for giving out my number… especially to Ex-Friend… without my permission; unless She contacts me! I am sure if she does; it will be to call me Unchristian..blah..blah..blah..but,
This one might be short. Not really in the mood, at present..but..here we go:
You’ve probably all seen the signs that say “Jesus Is The Reason For The Season”. That’s because Christmas to Christians is the celebration of Jesus birth. Since Jesus grew and died for us, we celebrate it! Joy can relate to that and to the excitement, fun and celebrations throughout the season.
I was going to add the word, Holiday, but we all know it’s my favorite Holiday which is why I am covering it for this challenge.
So, let’s learn a bit about Holly:
While Holly is a very, pretty plant and nice to decorate with, it also has a history of religious meaning.
In Scandinavia, Holly is known as Christ’s Thorn and some Christians believe the prickly leaves of Holly represent the Crown Of Thorns placed on the head of Jesus during the crucifixion and the berries represent the drops of blood caused by those thorns. An interesting way to think about Holly, next time you decorate.
And tomorrow is I. Not quite sure just where that will take me. Could be personal or might just be an cold subject.
The first gifts were given by the Wise Men to the baby Jesus of Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh per Christian beliefs.
I think the reason we give to each other is to show our love for others the same way the Wise Men celebrated Jesus Birth. There are no physical Gifts we can give to Jesus Christ so we must give to those close to us.
But, must we? Gifts should be given freely and with an open heart. Not a “Oh, since he got me something, I Have to get him something.”. Gifts should not be obligatory nor should you expect to receive. In my opinion, Gifting should be done with care based on what the person would really appreciate. If you try for a gag Gift, be sure you know their sense of humor. I have shared before that I am a Gifter. I keep lists of what to who and when so as not to repeat from one year to the next.
I don’t have Migraines every day, but I do get them a lot and anything out of the ordinary can trigger them. Like the Power Outtage that started a few hours ago and it’s getting cold. C. offered to come get me but I am a big girl and can handle this. I have blankets and a soft, plush, long one piece if it gets to cold. Plus, the Imatrex should knock me out and hopefully it will be back on in a few hours.
Other then that, next week we are going to study Philemon in Bible Study and I am going to lead.
Did some sorting of paperwork today; not much, but I can tell the difference.
Plus, my new toaster arrived. Now, I just have to get bread, bagels and jam or cream cheese. The toaster isn’t purple only because I can’t afford it yet. They charge double the regular toaster just for the color.
For the last few months during this Pandemic, I have been focusing a lot more on God and what he wants of me. During this trying time, I am extremely thankful for my mobile home even though it’s not where I want to remain much longer.
I have also been seriously studying the book ‘Boundaries’
with my Bible Study group. I am learning so much about myself and how to understand and react to others. Our group leader even sent me the Workbook that goes with it!
I haven’t been called to any dating sites lately. It probably isn’t the best time to be meeting people anyway, what with having to stay home and my weak immune system. Plus, I am praying that God leads me to a Free, Christian one if that’s where/how I am supposed to meet someone.
Anyway, December has arrived and it is the month of celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. I wish you all a very blessed December.
