When Helping Makes Me Sad

Cin likes to help people, as do I; so upon leaving the grocery store,we saw a man struggling with bags of groceries. Cin drove over and asked him if he needed a ride, for which he was grateful. While going to his place, we got to talking about how he is a Christian and helps his neighbors, so I donated my current Homeless Bag to him to help. I offered to help carry his bags to his apartment, which was really close to the car… Here’s where the sad part comes in. … We put the bags in the doorway of an empty, apartment living room full of trash and 2-3 little children sitting in it. It wasn’t trash like animal waste and the children were clothed..but… I feel so sad. Seriously, there was NO furniture! I just wanted to hug them or take them out of there for a while. God knows what the bedroom/s look like. I wonder if they have beds or blankets..or believe or count on Santa Clause at Christmas! On the other hand, I believe they are fed.. what with all the food he got, and their clothes were decent and they have a roof over their heads.

I don’t know the situation but will be adding those, beautiful children onto my prayer list.

Love Seat Low Down

Sad news:

Cin did not get the Love Seat because B. wasn’t able to pick it up in time. I mean, it was Free! The people weren’t going to hold it, forever. It was first come, first served. Needless to say, someone else’s behind is probably sitting on it right now! Next time, I find one that might work, I will see if I can get the neighbors to help me bring it here for B. to pick up. This is the same guy who painted my house so you know he isn’t the most dependable on timing.

Ame and Ken had their cat put down, this morning. They gave me her cat food.

This was Tempest

She was 20 years old.

It’s sad, but:

The neighbors next to them came over and asked if they wanted their bird. So now Ame and Ken..and Jer since he lives there.. have a green parakeet. We’ve determined it’s a girl! The neighbors that originally had kept putting her cage on the porch during the day and taking her in at night. It’s to hot here, for that! I guess Ame went and talked to it, which is why the neighbors offered it to her, stating they can’t keep it because they have a baby. There was a Cheeto at the bottom of the cage so.

At least, this little bird will get a good home, and they won’t be getting a rebound cat, just yet. They need time to grieve.

I cleaned the bathroom, today. You know it was bad when not only do you not know if the pipe is purple or gray, but, you find a tube of lotion which is empty that you have never heard of or use.

Also, packed another box so…

Old Rhymes

Let’s talk about some of the terrible nursery rhymes most of us learned as children that nobody would teach children today. By the way, I use the term, “children” as “Kids” are baby goats and they don’t care.

Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water.
Jack fell down and broke his crown and Jill came tumbling after.

When Jack fell, Jill should have walked or called for help.  Who found them, and did Jack wind up with brain damage?

Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater had a wife and couldn’t keep her.
He put her in a pumpkin shell and there he kept her very well

So many questions?  Why couldn’t he keep her?  Why not get a Divorce?  Keeping her in a pumpkin shell is keeping her hostage.  I don’t care if she was kept well

Rock a by baby on the treetop
When the wind blows the cradle will drop.
When the bough breaks the cradle will fall and down will come baby cradle and all.

Well, isn’t this a soothing little ditty to sing your child to sleep.  A cradle is up in a tree.  Don’t ask why.  A wind blows and makes the cradle drop then the bough breaks and the cradle and the baby falls down.

The baby might break it’s crown but nobody will come tumbling after, and hopefully the baby’s mother doesn’t get held hostage in a pumpkin shell for putting the baby in the tree, in the first place.
