Halloween

Cin and I went to Red Lobster since we were hungry and I wanted to dress up

When leaving the restaurant, the waitress said “Happy Halloween!” and I said, “Oh, It’s Halloween?, They just said I could come back for the day.”.

Then, we tried a casino we had never been to. It is small, but lots of machines.

Yes, I was the only Adult Customer in Costume, but I don’t care. I enjoyed myself.

We ended the night by watching some stupid movies:

Carrie 2 – Half Sister, Rachel, has Telekinesis, inherited by Carrie and refuses to get help. Pretty much same issues as the first except it’s dumber and not scary or jump worthy at all.

Sleep Away 2- A Transexual escaped a mental hospital and becomes a Counselor. She kills everyone who broke the rules.

Sleep Away 3- She’s Back! The killings went way to fast in this one and we can only hope they don’t make another one.

I highly suggest Not wasting your time on these!

Tomorrow, I am going to probably post my Book Review. ‘ Bitter Is The New Black’ by Jen Lancaster.

People Disappear So Quickly Here, Etc…

My neighbor across the way, is moving. Apparently, his mother has a Studio she is going to rent them until they find a place. I also think my next door neighbor is moving. They don’t speak English, but, I have noticed someone in a white truck take a mattress, and today, they (neighbors) waved at me from same truck while moving a Nightstand and Dresser. I have also noticed a bug UPS box, I think, in the side window. I think a lot of people have had enough of the management with rules that rarely get enforced and space rent being raised over and over. I feel sorry for the new people coming in, but, they’ll find out on their own.

Finally saw a Good Realtor today. She explained more about how FHA works and why I am not qualified for some of the places I like. Nothing is open in my price range at the moment but they have added me to their Portal and they get Pocket Listings (Private Listings that don’t hit the MLS) so, they will keep me updated. I finally feel comfortable with a Realtor!

Since we were in Green Valley today; we checked out Green Valley Ranch Casino. It’s nice, but it’s one of the first casinos I entered that reeks of the smell of Pot. We also tried Pizza Rock for lunch. The food was good, but, they only had one size pizza available, and the prices were high. Needless to say, I can live peacefully without returning there.

Saturday Sharing

Hello Class,

This is the class where we share with each other what we have learned during the week about anything at all! You can contribute in the comments.

This week seems to have gone by quickly.

I don’t know why I keep learning about Tarantulas when I don’t like spiders, but here are a few more facts.. Tarantulas eat black ants so if you live somewhere with Tarantulas and you see a trail of black ants, the Tarantula might be at the beginning of the ant trail. Also, Tarantulas need to be held very delicately (Not By Me) as there legs can break easily.

A person who kills 3 or more people over a months time can be considered a ‘Serial Killer’.

People really can win at the casinos, as, my friend won over $400. in one spin and I don’t think she had played $20. yet.

Lastly, I am watching a show about children who have a disease where they can’t stop eating. Sorry, I don’t remember the name of the disease, but I am including it, as it is something I have never heard of, before.

Now it’s your turn, and for Homework, Keep On Learning and Sharing with others!

Expensive Popcorn & Life

Most of the movie theaters in Las Vegas are located in a casino. So, if you are a Gambler, the smell of theater buttered popcorn wafts toward you until you finally decide to give in.. until;

I go to the counter and order a small, buttered popcorn. I have a $5. bill to pay and the guy repeats my order and goes “Your total is $7.90”. I thought he was joking! I sort of giggled and said, “Yeah, Right.” and he goes, “No, really. It’s $7.90”. I go, “Never Mind. I am not paying $7 dollars for Popcorn.” and I came home and made it myself.

Well, the house has been sold again for what I hope is the final time. They are going to turn in the Background Check tomorrow. I am going to believe this is going to be the final time, as I continue to pray that it is.

Stress Life & Phone Plan

The weekend was busy.  Not sure if in a good way.

The government is helping to pay for people’s phones and plans through Cricket..and a few other companies…so I will only have to pay $5.00 a month for the next 6 months.  This included a new phone which is annoying to get set up. Unfortunately, the reception really sucks between Cin and me, as well as, between me and another friend in Henderson.  Yet, my friend in Texas can hear me clearly.

So, we got the phones on Friday, then went gambling where the machines refused to pay out.  This was our 2nd or 3rd time at Emerald Island, so we have decided not to return there.  Pizza Hut was good.  Got the $11.99 Family Meal each and still have some left.  Couldn’t find the movies we wanted to watch for free, though, so wound up watching television.  Of course, sleeping at someone else’s house is never the same, so that threw my body off, too.

Today, we went back to Cricket to sort out some stuff on the phones..here, is hoping the reception will “fix itself through the transition”..per the girl at the store..then came home with a Migraine from Hell.

Took 2 Imatrex or one full one.  Part of it could be stress over the phone plan, the fact Cins’ cars air-conditioning doesn’t work and the fact that I am running out of anti-rejection meds again. Gotta figure out just what my brother is covering, so I can start budgeting for them, better.

Anyway, looking forward to going to sleep without drugs (Imatrex) now, so, have a great night!

Semi-Lucky Day

Both my doctor appointments today were jokes and not in a laughing way.  My Primary was confused about the Prolia and could not explain clearly how things are done, so, I didn’t get the injection.

Then my Nephrologist jumped all over me for not seeing her for over a year when she told me to wait because COVID-19 had just started.  So, I waited til I had both my vaccines.  She also got annoyed when I told her I can’t get an Ultrasound because I have a hard time holding urine.  I swear, after I move, I might just get a new Nephrologist.  Oh, and now she wants me to buy a Blood Pressure Machine!

On the flip side, Cin and I went gambling and I started with $20. she loaned me, but ended up making approximately $200. After gambling a bit more, paying her back, plus getting lunch and dinner, I still brought quite a bit home.

As for lunch, we tried the new PT’s Pub at Arizona Charlie’s on Decatur and it was horrible! The food was tasteless, the cheese was weird and the service was way to slow. I definitely don’t recommend it.

Luck Today & I Am Part Irish

I don’t usually believe in Luck but…

I was feeling better today and C. needed to get pajamas to wear to her Sleep Study so she picked me up. We went to a thrift store and I bought a book and a stuffed tiger. C. likes tigers and her Birthday is approaching. Plus, some of those stuffed animals at those places just call to you…sort of like real ones at a shelter..”Take me, I need love.” Unfortunately, C. did not find pajamas there, so we went to Walmart, where she did. Then she wanted to go to lunch at Arizona Charlie’s Casino. The problem with that is we would want to gamble and I had no money so I said Okay and asked her to loan me a $20. After paying back her $20, I left the casino with $120. and C. made $60-80. It was awesome! I put it in the bank and then came home and ordered a few things.

Just finished dinner and dishes and getting really tired, now.

I hope you all had a good St. Patrick’s Day, if you celebrate. I will add that it’s a bit sad how many people don’t. I like most any Holiday where I can dress up and have fun!
