After talking to my BFF on Sunday, I finally finished mopping the floor, yesterday. BFF is a bit of a Hoarder and a slob…. this is not to be offensive. It is a basic fact….but, she was trying to get organized, as, her 17 year old son just got his room together and even painted his dresser in the Avengers theme. Anyway, her sending me before and during photos motivated me to finish the floor. I am encouraging her to continue. Her place could look really cute if she took pride in her belongings and collections, plus, it might even help her children who have picked up her bad Un-Cleaning habits.
Remember K? the one that acts like she is better than me, almost ruined my Donny Osmond Concert, and showed her true colors? Well, I have blocked her numbers so she tried to reach me via Facebook Friend Request. She has told me before that she rarely uses Facebook except for family! The girl drives Uber; if she really wants to reach me, she knows where I live…But, truthfully, I rather enjoy being drama free and don’t want to start that again. I may level her with truth, if she shows up. We obviously have nothing in common and need to let the friendship go.
Mother Nature is off her meds again! A cold wind hit last night and the weather dropped like 10+ degree’s. I didn’t even go anywhere, today. Just watched the wind, turned on the heater and drank lots of coffee. Sudden weather changes can be very annoying for Migraine sufferers like me.
Had a conversations with my BFF. She is excited for Arbitrary Day next month on Reddit Secret Santa. It’s a lot like the big exchange in November except less people participate so they put more effort…well, most do… into the gift giving. Since my BFF is completely obsessed, she is really hoping to get stuff Brendan Fraser related. Which reminds me, I wrote the other day to his PR Department to see if I can get her an autographed picture of him to add with a Christmas thing I am putting together for her. It’s never to early to start planning.
We can thank Edward Hibbard Johnson for the invention of Christmas Lights on a string as he wanted to put Lights on a tree but candles were to dangerous. Lights are not only a Christian tradition; reminding you of the star that the Wise Men followed but they also represent the other nightly stars. I love Christmas Lights.
Heck, I simply love Lights, period. That’s one thing I love about Las Vegas. The lights, everywhere. It is so very pretty here at night.
*It was a rough morning… especially at feeding time. I just miss Puma watching me as I dish out the cat food, while waiting patiently. She had the most, beautiful, gold eyes. I wish this pain would go away fast, but, it’s only been 2 days. I did get dressed today so my BFF and I could FaceTime. It’s the little accomplishments and taking things one day at a time.
I hope this month is better migraine-wise but I doubt it, with our weather pattern.
The Pillow I got was the worst thing I have ever slept on!
Woke up with radiating pain in the back of my neck. It doesn’t conform or flatten at all and I don’t have a receipt to return it. Thank God, it was less then $10.00.
Spent some time with J (and C. and B) yesterday, then returned to a text that my 16 year old Godson was in ER for an Appendectomy. Thankfully, all went well, and he is returning home, today. He is my BFFs’ son, in Virginia.
Today was the last day for Moving Sale preparation and I even talked J into putting up Free Dog signs, to give Zorro a chance.
This is Zorro:
I, also bought a cute, Christmas Snowman Statue from J. that she almost didn’t sell to me. Don’t ask.
Anyway, while leaving Walgreens, I accidentally bumped the car behind me. Luckily, it’s a piece of shit car and I believe it is a very, minor dent. My car is fine. We exchanged insurance, blah, blah..plus, he and his mom were Christians so all was calm. Except, he didn’t have his License and just rattled off the info and he had to call his brother for the insurance info since it was his brothers car and it was wrong in the glovebox. Anyway, my insurance will cover it and I just pray my rates don’t spike much; if at all. Just as we are finishing up, a lady runs up to me saying, “That guy hit your car!” My car was parked at a slight angle with the emergency flashers on and some old guy backed into it, then drove off.
Once again, my car is fine..but the guy should have stopped. It’s the principle. Can you imagine if I had to call the insurance company back with a separate claim? You know, I named my car ‘Blessing’ and she really is. Maybe that’s why she is not getting damaged. Lol
Anyway, it’s only 7 something, but tomorrow is the first day of the sale and I have to get up early.
Please pray Zorro gets a new home, C. and I have patience, and J. sells a lot!
Oh, and my BFF and family Finally received their Christmas presents after a month a half. Thanks USPS.
Went to J’s to help with Moving Sale. Made signs and cut paper for pricing. Don’t ask me pricing suggestions if you don’t want to hear them! Got a Migraine after getting high from the pen I was using so came home and went down with Imatrex after lunch and listing the sale on 3 free sites. The Moving Sale is at Boulder & Sahara in Las Vegas this Sat & Sunday from 8-5. Follow the orange signs. Please share. It’s a whole household of stuff.
C. and I are thinking J. is not going to be gone in time. She is waiting til the last minute on most everything; like she wants everyone else to do everything. We have our own lives and are helping as much as we can.
MetroPCS is messed up. They took my payment before my due date causing bank late fee’s. When I called, they said they can take the payment 5 days early. That’s Wrong! It’s on Autopay! They changed my due date and are supposedly passing my complaint to a Manager.
Lastly, called USPS about a package sent to my BFF on 12/9 that has still not been received. Same shit..”In transit. Arriving late.” When you hit the option to speak with someone, they want you to wait an hour but preface that with “Our representatives have no different information.” There needs to be better ways to mail stuff. This is ridiculous.
Had a Zoom call with my BFF and her family in VA 3 hours before the New Year hit here. Then, as I was watching a live feed of Freemont Street, the feed paused at exactly midnight so the viewers didn’t get to see what happened. There were no fireworks but they were setting off a type of rocket to do an implosion of sorts. Talked to a friend on the phone then fell asleep while watching Happy New Year, Charlie Brown. May have to watch the ending again.
Prior to that, my friend Kace came to visit and my Siamese cat, Monkey, did not like her! That is the cat I need to stay attuned to, but, it was weird because I know Kace has been over here, before.
No Resolutions this year because I don’t do that. Maybe some personal goals, though.
Wishing you all the best in the coming year a head. Wait, it’s already here.
Venus, …Puma, Tara, Monkey and Susy.
*No, Venus isn’t my real name. But, that’s how I define myself on this blog.
I woke up this morning thinking I hadn’t been on here in forever and feeling guilty, but it turns out, I posted 3 days ago. I just hadn’t caught up with those I Follow in over a week. So, I just did that.
I made phone calls to over 30 members of church and had to do that in 3 days time. Plus, I’ve been watching Christmas movies…Surviving Christmas, The Snowman,A Charlie Brown Christmas, Pete The Cat Christmas, The Christmas Shoes and It’s A Wonderful Life; to be exact. I’ve also been reaching out to friends and family.
Yesterday, itself, was quiet. I participated in a Zoom call with my BFF and her family, then watched part of our Christmas church service before developing a Christmas Migraine. Migraines don’t stop or pay attention to the Holidays.
Anyway, it’s the day after. Time to clean the house and prepare for the upcoming year. Didn’t decorate much so not a lot to put away.
It’s more the nitty, gritty basic cleaning I need to get back to.
Christmas is not necessarily about gifts but I need to share my favorite gift received. It came from L. who leads our Bible Study which we’ve titled Women-Of-Wisdom (WOW). She knew I needed a Study Bible and she went all out. I am so blessed!
Here’s hoping you all had a wonderful Christmas Day.
*If your gift hasn’t arrived from UPS, please have patience. My friend hasn’t received hers and it has been 14 days. I pray for the employees, at this very, busy, time.
I have mentioned before that we are studying ‘Boundaries’ in my Bible Study. It is really giving me new perspectives and understanding in dealing with situations that used to really upset me.
My BFF in Virginia and I both love Jeff Dunham. A few weeks ago, we discovered through one of his videos that he was inviting his viewers to participate in a sing-along on video with him and Achmed. Viewers were invited to submit their videos and Jeff is going to put together a compilation. Well, both BFF and I forgot about this..until today. BFF sent me a text that she and her daughter submitted their video. When I called and asked her for the link, she snapped at me, saying, “I don’t know. M. did it. She’s busy right now. You can look it up.” I could have snapped back; but, I didn’t.
I remembered how she used to be so competitive with me when growing up and realized that she doesn’t want me submitting a video and being in competition with her. For whatever reason, it’s on her.
So, I looked up the information. I was unable to submit a video through my phone and when I called BFF back to ask a question, she apologized for snapping.
I still share this with you to get it out of my system but am proud of myself for not escalating stupid situations anymore.
I know I haven’t blogged every day minus Sunday like I should but right now I am seriously Obsessed over Reddit Secret Santa and I hate to drive you all crazy.
My guy got the first part of his gift the other day and I received a message last night that mine is in the mail! They actually tried this time and read my form even apologizing for whatever it is not being Purple.
I am living vicariously through the Gallery as people post the gifts received. It’s amazing what strangers are sending other strangers!
Plus, I have two friends involved this time so we’ve been on the phone for hours comparing and helping each other with our Matches and sharing gifts received. My BFF received expensive Chocolate for her, gluten-free and healthy dog treats for her dog, and a shirt is on the way! We did some research and the guy who had her is in Michigan.
Anyway, will try to post more often and discuss other topics.
Please pass if I go on and on. I won’t cry…to much.
