We stopped at Animal Inns today to make a payment and drop off some food for the girls. I wish I could have seen them but then it would just depress us all when I left. Hopefully, in another week, we will be restarting. The staff is so nice. They said they will miss them, after they leave.
We didn’t get much of the house done because the Handyman didn’t show up after saying he would. Cin and I are at a stopping point pretty much of what we can do. He said he will be over tomorrow at 9, but that was after like 2 hours of no communication.
Before you say to just let him go, tell me where to find someone who will help us without changing an arm and a leg.
I am grateful to have found Animal Inns to take care of my cats. I highly recommend them!
However, a Handyman might not. The one who responded is way to expensive. Can anyone recommend a low cost Handyman in the Las Vegas/Henderson area? Cin and I are going to see what we can do, by ourselves so… this should prove Interesting. I only have a little over a week left to get my babies back on the 30th.
Just finished watching 20/20 about the Turpin Family. For those that don’t know, 12 children were living in isolation, filth and abuse from their parents. It was quite interesting and a bit sad. The government didn’t help much even after they were free’d.
I don’t usually blog on Sunday but I totally need your help. Here’s the situation:
I sold my mobile home for enough to purchase a small trailer to live in,with cash.
Trailer paid off. Only Space Rent. I could afford a car, soon. I could move it if I ever wanted to move. I wouldn’t have to worry about Property Tax, Homeowners Insurance, etc.. In the future, might be able to purchase land and/or go up to a bigger size.
Cons:. Super small or at least feels it. Might lose inside Washer & Dryer. Cats might lose a Cat Tree and would have to get creative with litter boxes.
Before I start this, I have an important Prayer Request:
My friend, Cin, is going to the doctor today to get a Lump on her Breast checked out. Please pray it is nothing or minor. Her appointment is in 1 1/2 hours. 1:00 p.m. Las Vegas time.
As for the title, Here is the situation:
Hot Topic does not communicate with the bank they do business with. Comenity! If you have a billing or payment issue, you need to call the bank, directly.
Comenity is refusing to take responsibility for their action of doing a Hard Pull which affected my credit report, after telling me it was their system error! They actually sent me a notice saying they will not fix this issue, as it would be a ” Good Will Gesture”. NO, it would be fixing their error! I am still waiting to see if Experian can fix things with them.
Anyway, I still like Hot Topic and will continue to purchase from them but will Not use their card. It will be Cash or Debit from now on! Comenity also is behind the cards of Victoria’s Secret, Wayfair, Woman Within, and more!
So, the moral of this is; Do your research on the bank before signing up for the store card. Plus, when you get angry with a company, be sure it is with the right department!
I have now chosen to avoid cards backed by Comenity Bank, and I hope others do too.
When I say Gain, I don’t mean weight Gain. I mean accomplishment, etc… and when I say Pain….Well….
I got another box packed, more stuff put in the donation bag, and started cleaning the bathroom before being hit by a Migraine… probably sinus related..and needing a break. This one came with coughing, sneezing, sore throat and a possible, swollen gland. Not to concerned, but, it still hurts when I swallow. Feeling a bit better with the Migraine gone but still have a few other symptoms. I am wondering if this could be weather related even though I stay inside. I try to use the fan a lot more then the air conditioner.
When cleaning the bathroom, I wound up scratching the toilet while removing some tough stains. Can anyone recommend anything to get set in stains from bathtub and cabinets that won’t scratch and is animal friendly?
Something, I have around the house already, would be perfect and purr fect, as well.
So, aside from dreaming and considering moving; C. and I went to look at some Travel Trailers, yesterday. I fell in love with 2, but, the payments would be to high especially with space rent. So, there is no point in that. I have found a few condos which would be perfect, if I qualify.
I need to look into the difference between a Lender and a Realtor, though. Do they do the same, as far as showing the house, etc?
I am hoping to get a Realtor I know to give me a Free Estimate of what this place is worth so I can sell it, myself. I also checked with my friend, TR to see if she will take the cats if I haven’t found a place right after my place closes and having to move. Worse comes to worse, I could wind up in someplace like Siegel, while I find somewhere. TR responded with a definite Yes!
Spent 15-20 minutes going through a stack of paperwork, today. While, you can’t tell a difference, I can.
Growing up, my mother..and maybe yours too…had a Gift Shelf or closet where she kept miscellaneous gifts she had bought, won or received that were useless to her. She is the one who taught me how to Regift.
A Regift is basically taking a gift someone gave you that you can’t use and gifting it to another person.
There are a few things to be aware of when doing this. You need to be careful not to offend the original gifter, as well as, don’t get caught and put yourself in a bad position.
Here’s what I do:
Say I receive a vase from K. It’s totally not me since I am not into flowers. So, I put it aside with a label ‘From K’. Christmas comes around and I think Hey, Jen likes flowers. She might like this vase. But, I need to consider; Does Jen know K? Do they both attend my church? Is there a chance their paths will cross? If the answers are No, I can give Jen the vase. Otherwise, I need to get her something else.
I also keep this information in a paper file. Also, be sure to check all wrapping for tags. Be sure the original gifters name is nowhere to be found.
Now, I have a friend who does not know how to Regift. She will give me a gift and after I open it and exclaim over it, thank her,etc..she’ll say “So and so gave it to me and I figured you would like it.”. Don’t Do That! There is no reason to reveal the information. That’s tacky. If I asked where you got it, it’s better to say, “I don’t remember.”.
As a last bit of advice, if the rules are to hard or time-consuming; Don’t Regift. I am sure a local thrift store would be thankful for your donation.
