Has anyone heard of ‘Landmark’? I don’t know if I would call it a Personal Journey, A Religion or A Cult, but, I have a friend involved, so I did some research….(if this person is reading this; I am in no way trying to offend you..these are just my thoughts.).. Upon doing a few hours of research, one thing I learned is that this stems from Scientology which I will not get involved in. I have no problem with my friend being involved… except I do believe it may not end well… and will be there for her, in case…but..I prefer to keep my beliefs and not get involved. However, I do wonder if you have ever heard of anyone or if you, yourselves, experienced Landmark, and what you think?
On another note, Twas a sick Day, today….I really wanted to use the word, “Twas”.. Don’t Ask! Woke up dizzy, stomach pain and diarrhea. Didn’t start feeling better until after an hour and a half nap. I did eat a little. I am praying it’s nothing and I will be back to my usual, energetic self, in the morning.
But, as I was wiping down walls, earlier; I was condemning myself for not doing so, more often. They are really dusty and furry.. it’s no wonder, I don’t get sick, all the time.
Don’t worry, I have berated myself enough, so you don’t need to join in.
Peckapaloosa… sorry if spelled wrong.. over at Confusing Middle.com has given a prompt I can totally get behind! But first..you should seriously check out his blog. It’s great!
Okay, his word for the week is ‘Purple’!
Coming from a girl who’s favorite color is Purple, what can’t I say? I love Purple especially with the blue base. My inside walls are Purple, my hair is Purple and I dress in Purple most every day. My pots and pans are Purple and so are most of my sheets and towels. I even paint most of my furniture Purple.
Purple is a royal color and one that pops!
My first husband was blah and we had to decorate like everyone else in blacks, whites and browns. I got into color after my Divorce and have never been the same since.
My favorite shade of Purple is the really dark, yet, bright..if you know what I mean.. like a neon, dark Purple.
Thanks so much for this Prompt. This was definitely a fun one.
This might be short and to the point, but … The term is Christmas not Xmas.
Xmas is a slang term for those who don’t believe, don’t care, and/or are to lazy to write or say the entire word. I haven’t heard of a slang term for Easter, although, Thanksgiving can be “Turkey Day”. There’s a reason we say ‘Keep Christ in Christmas’. It isn’t all the religious meaning. It’s also the fact we hate the term ‘Xmas’ so, please stop!
*Had COVID #2 vaccine last Monday… Moderna.. and finally feeling better. Although, worn out now after my walk. It was more of a flu this time with chills. Got lots of sleep and drank a lot of fluids, plus, might take a nap, now.
Tomorrow is Y and I am going to teach you all how to play a Christmas game! You might know it. Some people hate it, while others, like me, think it’s fun.
C. had to pick up Ben from work so I asked if I could go along. We passed a restaurant that I cannot pronounce the name ‘Las Pupusa’. I tried it way to many times and even Googled it. I had C. cracking up by either adding too many poo’s,s’ss or la’s, and it wasn’t/isn’t deliberate. My letters just twist when I try to say the word.
After dropping Ben off, we decided to go gambling, again. This time at Rainbow Casino. It was really cool and they even gave us free gifts. C. loaned me $20 which I repaid her plus I even got to spin the wheel and won $50. on it. We also got $12.50 to spend at the restaurant but didn’t want to wait half hour. At least it’s good for 7 days. I left with $30 and bought us dinner at Denny’s.
Came home to find my clothes from Breezecloth.com arrived but don’t want to try them on til tomorrow. I was tired of smelling like smoke and needed to take a bath and crawl in bed. They look nice but the one pair of pants has cat faces with pink cheeks, so if I keep it, I will need to get purple fabric marker or paint to fill that in, before I wear them.
I have decided not to get new windows but to get the outside of the house painted, instead.
Not really. I could just as well have titled it. ‘Trying To Be A Cat’. I slept from 5:30 or 6 last night, woke up around 2 then back to sleep, reawoke at 5:30,with a Migraine..took an Imatrex, then back to sleep until 9:30 a.m.
Got some Mobile Home Insurance today, since mine has lapsed and its best to have it…just in case.
Also, my Book Santa on Reddit came through in a big way and got me the entire ‘Chronicles Of Narnia’ set from my Wishlist. They have other exchanges coming up throughout the year which also sound fun. I highly recomend joining
Figured I would share a laugh since grammar is so important.
Every week, my friend at ConfusingMiddle gives us a prompt of sorts, and this week is Compliment. Technically, it was last weeks since the new prompt is tomorrow. But, I digress.
The other day, while grocery shopping, a gentlemen said, “I like your hair!”…I don’t because the color is coming out but am waiting til it’s warmer to update it because you have to use cold water to rinse it if you want the color to stay. Yes, I am aware that was a run-on sentence. Take a breath and deal with it…. During the same shopping trip, another gentlemen said, “That outfit looks really nice.” I was wearing black leggings with a silver stripe down one leg and a black shirt with a cat in the middle. Anyway, those Compliments from unknown people really made me smile.
I prefer compliments that are legit and not forced, and I am not afraid of giving them, either.
No, I don’t know anyone named Will (or William) so I don’t know if he’s good. Actually, I had a boss named William who went by Bill and he was one of the best bosses I ever had, but he is deceased now.. Anyway:…
I went to the Goodwill today and donated the bags from J’s sale as well as, one of my own. Then, I bought some books. It’s much better and cheaper to buy books from The Dollar Tree or 99 Cents Store. $1.99 for a paper back is a bit ridiculous.
Then, I visited J. and dropped off an empty box, as well as, looked up the number for The Humane Society aka Animal Shelter so she can surrender her dog. I think they do have some older dogs with medical issues waiting for adoption, but, most were found as strays so..realistically, I don’t hold much hope. It’s a sad situation. Here’s the dog:
So, I guess to summarize today, I went to the Goodwill, and then did Good Will.
Before I get into this topic, I want you to know that I cannot see images in your posts, at present. I will definitely catch up on those when I can. Going back to MetroPCS on the 13th when I get paid.
Now for tonight’s thoughts: When someone dies, say you’re sorry or you’ll pray for them but not “They lived a long life. ” That is not helpful even if the statement is accurate. The person is now gone. This does not help the grieving family, it is a simple fact they already know. Here’s another one; I asked for prayers today and posted on Facebook that I am and have been sick. Someone said, “Get better. ” Not, “I hope or pray you get better. ” Seriously, that’s lazy. I wanted to retort with I changed my mind, I want to stay sick.
We need to think a bit before we say things especially when it comes to empathy for others issues.
