It’s Official! I did the walk-through and my trailer will be delivered on Friday!
I have been sort of numb since yesterday. I’m still praying I did the right thing. I believe I did. If you think about it, it is what I was originally considering. I can save some money and maybe even get a car before I try again. You never know, the Market can turn around, but right now, everything was out of my reach.. until this. God answers prayers in mysterious ways.
I am totally looking forward to getting my girls and my privacy back. And, I am looking forward to sleeping on my own mattress, again. Most of you have probably shared a place with others before, so you know how difficult it is. Plus, where else can I live with Space Rent less than $400 and no pet deposit?
I am considering getting a Shed in order to get all my stuff out of storage soon, too. And maybe another Catio. But it’s getting cooler, and the cats don’t like it outside when it’s cold.
The picture and description at the top is the one I purchased. I will take and share some pictures of the inside, once I get it set up. I will tell you, it has a full bath with closet and a Loft type bed.
Per the title, I will probably have my babies back and be in my Thanksgiving!
I got a bit annoyed this morning when Cin announced that she is having a Date come over tomorrow night. He doesn’t arrive until around 11:30 when he gets off work which means I would have to stay up and dressed a lot later then I am used to. She assured me she told him I was here and we could just watch movies. Truthfully, I feel this was disrespectful. This place is a small trailer and my bed is the kitchen table. There is hardly room for two people to walk around, let alone three, plus, she didn’t ask me how I felt about it. Needless to say, I reached out to some friends and am going to stay with C. from my Bible Study, tomorrow night. She is a Flutist and is going to take me to her Rehearsal, first. I may wait in the car and phone some friends… since I don’t feel comfortable talking on the phone, while here. She also has a Bathtub and I Miss my baths! I believe the excitement … or Roommate experience is really wearing off for both Cin and myself.
Suzy freaked out tonight which she has never done before! I went to kiss her and she flipped and scratched me on the face. I think she was focusing on one of Cin’s cats and didn’t see me coming close, or maybe I accidentally laid on her somewhere. Anyway, it was probably my fault and I only got a few, minor, scratches. I really don’t think she realized she had gotten me, and she did put her paw on me to touch me, afterwards.
Checked on Monkey and Tara, today. They are both doing well and Tara was playing with the clip on her cage (Pardon me, “Cottage” ) bar. I told them that it is her Birthday and to please remind her that I love and miss her. (Yes, I know it’s a Cat. Shut-Up!)
I know this Post was supposed to be about Tara, but, I have lots of time for that. I had to share my reaction to Cin’s Date announcement. Truthfully, if I were Cin, I would meet him at a hotel or something if someone was staying with me. Or, at least talk to the friend or whoever is staying, first, to see how they felt about it.
I am grateful for my Bible Study Group who are willing to help each other in times of need. I don’t even care if I get the couch.
My Suzy is going to her Aunt Cin’s today. I know it’s early but I don’t want to many major changes to fast for the cats sake, plus I need to use the big box she lays in. Also, Cin lives 30-45 minutes away so it gets a little difficult driving back and forth constantly, she needs a few days break. She will be with Suzy and her cats getting them acclimated.
I must add, I am a bit nervous about staying at Cin’s and hope it doesn’t last long. She lives in a small, Fifth Wheel Trailer and I will be sleeping on the table bed. Most of my stuff with be on the bed, also. She keeps the television on all day for background noise, and if I have a Migraine, there is nowhere to go! I did order some Earmuffs but they aren’t noise cancelling since I will need to be able to sleep in them.
I really wish and pray something opens soon, whether it’s a small Trailer like Cin’s or a Studio Apartment where I can be alone. I also don’t want to keep Tara and Monkey in the Pet Hotel to long, despite how nice it is. It costs as much per week as Siegel Suites!
I am thinking of getting a small, Pumpkin at the store today and making Pumpkin Seeds before going to Cin’s. She doesn’t like them so they would be all for me!
I would say Back To Normal but who wants to be Normal? And, what is Normal anyway? Normal for one guy featured on ‘My Strange Addiction’ is wearing Casts even though he hasn’t broken any bones. He likes the feeling of the Cast, and loves the attention he gets.
Anyway, picked up Monkeys meds today for her appointment, found a cheaper place to Board the cats (decided to take Tara to Cin’s with me), went to the Post Office and mailed a few packages plus picked up mail and bought stamps, went gambling a bit, Albertsons and Port-Of-Subs. Plus, did a Goodwill drop-off. (Cat Bridge, Printer, Sandwich Maker, Muffin Pan and Magazine).
They lock up the Permanent Markers at Albertsons and you have to ask for assistance, which is silly. To make it worse, the employee has to take the Marker to the Cashier. You can’t carry it with you! What are they afraid of; people changing the prices in the store? It’s like a $3.00 item, not a Diamond Ring or anything that can cause harm…. except outside where people can use it for graffiti. But, it’s not like they ask what you are using it for. They will still sell it to you.
Found a possible place.. actually no, I am not going there. It isn’t possible as, I haven’t heard from my mortgage girl. Looking at rental options before actually scheduling Boarding, and getting some quotes for Movers.
Oh Yes, I also wrapped a Christmas Gift, as I wrap as soon as I buy and receive. It makes things a lot easier, that way.
I know feelings fluctuate, but, I woke up believing this is going to be my week…housewise. I just have a feeling, it really might go through, this time. Please don’t comment, as, I don’t want to jinx it. You know I will keep you updated.
My new mattress arrived over the weekend and it is amazing! I got a Memory Foam during the Labor Day Sale at Mattress Firm. Now, I am just hoping my Memory Foam pillow arrives soon from Fingerhut. It’s soft on one side and firm on the other. With my Migraines, I am really hoping this helps.
I know I got a mattress from the neighbor in approximately January when she moved, but that one was used and one side literally slid like I was going to fall off the bed, so I totally needed this one! And a good mattress is a definite investment.
I Finally got to see the Friends Reunion and it left me a bit emotional. I have never been much of a tv watcher, preferring to read a book, but a few shows really resonated with me
The Brady Bunch was like my family…well, the one I really wanted. My siblings and I are years apart so I didn’t have a lot of people to play with and my Foster Sister was the complete opposite of me, and didn’t stay long.
Then, there was Seinfeld. The conversations and things they pondered were very interesting, and taught me to see the world in a different light.
Friends was incredible! I remember wishing I had friends like that and being able to see myself and a few of my friends, in some of the characters. Friends was one of those shows that I had a hard time when it ended.
What are 3 shows that made a difference to your life and why?
One thing I learned this week from doing research is the law in Nevada that animals are not necessarily taken away from Abusers unless they have been abused 3 times! I have also discovered that my Ex is in jail and hope he stays there so the organization can save Bruno.
I have also had the reminders of giving control to God and trusting in him when I am under stress and unable to change a situation.
As well as, to stop allowing people to use me and not do their jobs, correctly. I am waiting on a call from the Manager of my Mortgage Girl! I am tired of her lack of communication and Follow-Thru.
What have you learned or been particularly reminded of, this last week?
Received my Secret Santa Gifts today and am really excited! I can’t wait to move and set up my new place! The person that had me spent about $40-50!
Just read an article about Florida and some people living in some condos…not the ones that came down…were given 15 minutes to get whatever belongings they can out of their homes. Apparently, the condo has been inspected and deemed unsafe so the management is deciding what to do.
Let’s think about that for a minute!
What could you get out of your house in 15 minutes? You have already gotten yourself and your animals out. If it were me, I would probably be grabbing the first things I can which would hopefully be some of my packed boxes mainly books and collectibles and Puma! I would also try to grab my photo albums and Yearbooks, if I had time to focus. 15 minutes is not a long time!
I guess some people got food, medicine and clothes, one person got their fish tank…no idea if there was anything in it.
But, just like the game, if you had to leave and take only 3 things with you, what would they be…I ask, what would you try to get out if you only had 15 minutes?
Hide and I went to lunch today and it was delicious!
We went to Vegenation where I had the Pamela Anderson Tacos and Hide had the Tori Williams Burrito! She had so much left, she sent half of it home with me, because her husband doesn’t like a lot of greens.
Everything the restaurant serves is Vegan.
Vegetarian means you eat all or mainly Vegetables. There are different types of Vegetarians of which I am Flexitarian as, once in a while, I will eat Chicken or Fish. Vegan, on the other hand, means you cannot eat any part of or anything that comes from an animal; which includes Cheese, Eggs, Milk and Butter. Going from Vegetarian to Vegan should not be a huge jump, but what do you use for Butter substitutes that taste even close?
I had a blogger friend comment that he would be a bad Vegan; so, here is my question and maybe Challenge…for all my meat loving friends.
Have you ever tried going Vegetarian or Vegan? What happened?
What’s the longest you’ve been without Meat?
And, if you haven’t tried it, would you consider trying it and making a blog post about your experience?
I don’t know how many of you have moved recently, but, it’s amazing the stuff we forget we had when we pack things up drawer by drawer. Plus, when you think you are done with an area, there’s more you forgot. I have a full bag for Goodwill and am ready to start another one. This is also proof of my belief of ‘Out With The Old, In With The New’. I am Following one Blogger that is dealing with her housekeeping issue by emptying her entire house. I am not envious, there.
This also makes me think;. You know those questions people ask like, ‘If you lose everything but can take 3 things with you, what would they be?’. Well, now my answer would be me, my cats and I guess whatever the closest things are. Hopefully, they would be some packed boxes. …
No, I am Not moving yet, but, it never hurts to prepare!
One gentleman in Florida said he will miss his coin collection. While life is not about material possessions; it is interesting what material possessions are important.
Speaking of things, look what came today from my Secret Santa!
They are tin signs. Aren’t they cool? The one on the left says, ‘Relax at Camp Crystal Lake’. and the one on the right could probably be Jason’s cat, if he had one.
I have a suspicion something more is on the way, as well…so, will keep you, updated.
