Prompt ‘Neighbors’

A blogging friend at ConfusingMiddle here on WordPress has given the prompt of Neighbors, this week. If you haven’t checked out their blog yet, I highly recommend it.

Anyway, Moving Forward:

Years ago, they sang a song on Sesame Street or Mr. Rogers Neighborhood titled; “Who Are The People In Your Neighborhood.” The song was a bit off, though, because it focused on the Postman, the Policeman, and the Milkman. It made no reference to the Drug Addict, The Hoarder, or the Crazy Cat Lady…Not just me.

I think your Neighbors are the ones who live near you. In my case, in the mobile home park, I live in. If you live in an apartment complex, it’s those residents. The ones in the immediate vicinity of where you live.

I have talked a bit about my Neighbors, as some have become friends; like J. who is moving. Speaking of which, it is now Official, and she will be out and probably gone, next week.

Be sure and tell me if you sang the song I mentioned, and if you have it stuck in your head now

You’re Welcome!

Dressed For Out?

When you have nowhere to go, do you still get dressed?

I have no life…er, what’s the point?

Had stomach issues this morning, but doing fine, now. Doing a lot of reading and comforting Susy who was freaking out while they worked on the street.

It would be awfully nice if the managers would inform us the workers are going to be out front making enough noise to hurt my babies ears..but alas, they never do.

See the house with the red car in front? That’s where J. lives and where I met C. The blue house next to it is empty, as, it is new and still being worked on.

* Just a reminder: If you are a business I have no interest in or have no real profile picture, I WILL delete you from Following and will continue to do so.

I will also continue to add these reminders until you get a clue.

Found It

To continue from yesterday, I found my Driver’s License. By not stressing and asking God for help, it wasn’t difficult. It was in a pocket of a pair of sweats in my dirty clothes pile.

While, that was easy to find, it doesn’t help that Susy enjoys knocking everything over so I have to look under and around things for anything misplaced. Don’t let her adorable looks fool you.

Went for a walk to visit Bean who lives about 15? houses down. Today is her 50th Birthday, so I was glad we got together for a few.

Scary Night

Last night, a helicopter or two were flying around shining their lights in my windows and lighting up the cul-de-sac. This went on for over half hour. It was totally freaky and I couldn’t find anything out about the reason for it. Needless to say, I had a rough time going to sleep but I finally did; and slept til 10:58 a.m!

I think part of sleeping so long is my new mattress. J. was getting rid of a mattress which has barely been used and mine had seen better days. I wasn’t sure I would like it what with its level of firmness, but, I have been sleeping solid so….

I would say Christmas is over but it doesn’t feel like it when gifts continue to arrive. Plus, the Stimulus Check has been approved so that can be considered a gift, in a way.

*That’s all I am saying on that as, not getting into politics.

More Neighbor News

So, I guess my neighbor …. also my friend…is moving to Idaho to live with her daughter. This is both good and bad for her. Financially, it’s great! Her daughter and son-in-law are going to pretty much support her. Plus, they will be there for medical reasons. J. is in her late 70’s with health problems and on oxygen. In the bad aspect, she has to get rid of her two beautiful cats because her son-in-law is allergic. It will be really hard on my friend C. who is J’s sister, but I think it will be best in the long run. C. has been killing herself taking care of and looking after J. Although, she is also used to visiting her a lot. She will need to find other ways and other people to fill her free time with.

Soon I will be the longest resident in our cul-de-sac.

So ends todays Neighborhood News.
