In actuality, the entire weekend was slow and I didn’t accomplish much.
But, I definitely accomplished eating! MyFitnessPalApp told me if I ate the way I did yesterday, for the next 5 days; I can gain 20 pounds! Well, isn’t that a lovely reminder to get off my butt and move. No, MyFitnessPal App didn’t actually talk, it wrote those words in the summary.
I didn’t even listen to church, yesterday..so will definitely do that today. I have been listening to James White who is a powerful Christian debater who defends Christianity from a biblical perspective: and, his views on Catholicism and Homosexuality, among others, on Sermon Central.
I did have a long chat with my BFF and caught up with my friend in Texas, though.
We had a little bit of rain yesterday though not enough to fill our lake. And, I believe there is a 46 percent chance of rain, today.
Hey, it’s Saturday, and this is the part of my blog where I share what I have learned this week. I hope you will join me and share what you’ve learned, in the comments.
1. A Whale is related to the Hippopotamus. This actually came from a blog I Follow, but I can’t find the person to give credit to, so, if it’s you…Thank You!
Facts from ‘The Gentle Barn’ in California. ‘The Gentle Barn’ is an animal rescue organization that rescues abused farm animals. I totally want to visit! Can we say Bucket List item? They even encourage you to Hug A Cow! Okay, back to things learned:
2. The Turkey is the closest living animal to the Dinosaurs. Gives a whole new perspective to Thanksgiving Dinner now, doesn’t it?
3. The Pig actually has dog like tendencies and likes to have their bellies rubbed. *They are also quite smart and they are clean animals when not playing in the mud…but, I knew that.
4. If you are allergic to Wheat (Me) and you usually take GlutenEase Extra Strength, you need to take 2 pills of GlutenEase Regular verses one of Extra Strength, to get the same results. Yeah, that was a tough life lesson.
5. And finally, Critical Racial Theory is now being taught in schools. It’s pretty much Marxism or reverse Racism teaching about all the terrible things White People did, over time
And, the bell has rung so class is over. See you all next week. Same seats. Keep your eyes and ears open to learn something new.
A while back, I did a post titled ‘Credit Or Not’. This is sort of a continuation.
I went back and forth with Hot Topic and their Credit Card Customer Service Department only to be told the Hard Pull was a “System Error” on their part. However, in order to get this off my report, I had to write them a letter for them to get hold of Experian. It was their fault! I shouldn’t have to do anything! But, I did that and also said if it was not a “System Error” and they are doing Hard Pulls on purchases verses new customers or late payments, they have lost a customer. What really pisses me off is it takes 30 days per Experian for a dispute to be resolved!
In good news, I received my GlutenEase today which I have been out of for a long time, so Cin is coming to get me so I can get my monthly sandwich from Port-Of-Subs. My stomach is growling just thinking about it.
As of yesterday, I have lived in Las Vegas, NV for 7 Years (-5 months in AZ which was a waste of time).
Despite the weather at times, I still love it! The lights, the activity, the people! Even if I didn’t gamble, it’s fun to check out everything in the different hotels and casino’s.
Las Vegas is ever changing so things I remember from visiting when young are long gone, replaced with different things.
Do you like where you live? If money were no object, would you move somewhere else? As much as I like it here, sometimes I wonder about Europe like Austria. The houses are so pretty there in their little villages; but, then I wonder if I would get bored like I did in Arizona, once again coming back here. I have also considered Florida, but, there is to much rain and the size of the bugs there would keep me inside.
Doing a lot better than yesterday, but still a bit tired, so taking it easy, again.
I was kidding with a friend (Julestx51) because she was like this yesterday, and shared on WordPress. Thanks again. HA!
It’s Monsoon Season here and yesterday on the news, it said Nevada will be having another water shortage soon because the lake is so low; on the flip side, the weather said to expect Thunder Storms all week. Last I checked, most Thunder Storms bring rain, so can we say “Contradictory”?
Today, Cin and I went to Smith’s, an indoor Swap Meet and Smart and Final.
I know I don’t exercise enough because I am really sore! And, if I am sore, I can’t imagine how Cin is feeling; she exercises a lot less than I do despite the fact her doctors say she needs to.
Anyway, I tried on Sandals..to no avail because I need narrow…I have always had a hard time getting shoes and when I was young, my mother took me to the Marine Base for them. What’s interesting is, I can wear children’s sizes if they are narrow enough…but I digress.. ..and had lunch, while at the Swap Meet, plus, I bought some food from Smart and Final to freeze until my GlutenEase gets here, which should be here by Wednesday.
Think Rosemary Sourdough Bread and Hand Made Shrimp Tempura!
Cleaned a third of the floor, today. When I decided to sweep and mop, I split the floor into like 4 sections and today was the 3rd. While, not a complaint necessarily, it is a bit warm for strenuous activity so this makes it, easier.
I was telling C. we need more murders! Not really..but my True Crime Channel keeps showing the same cases that I have already seen and most, I also have the book!
Hide from my Bible Study..WOW (Women Of Wisdom) group is taking me out for lunch tomorrow and since I need to eat Gluten-Free…until I get my Gluten Ease refilled…we are going to Vegenation. It is totally Vegan and the food is delicious. If you are a Vegetarian or Vegan, or even want to just try something healthy while in Las Vegas, I highly recommend it.
Mainly True Crime, Serial Killer stuff but also a few novels, fiction like The Flowers In The Attic series, Survivor Stories and stories that explain how people think or tick.
I borrowed a book from my neighbor, titled ‘The Sociopath Next Door’…and yes, she lives next door! But, I digress . .. The scary thing about this book is; I see a lot of Sociopathic traits in my friend, Tra. Tra says terrible things about people! Example, she put on Facebook that she wishes she had aborted her daughter because her daughter accused her of being a racist, and a few other things. She Hates her sister and says she is dead to her; even laughing when bad things happen to her, She also Hates her neighbor as well as her not yet Ex-Husband and wishes them both dead. She believes if she Hates someone, you should too, or at least have nothing to do with them, and you can’t disagree with her much or you will hear her wrath. She also puts a lot of Whoa is me, my life sucks and no one likes me posts on Facebook which is a major sign of a Sociopath. They play into pity. She is one of those people who puts her whole life on Facebook, which, I personally, find ridiculous.
While the book does recommend staying away from people like that, I believe it is also good to just stay aware.
Tra and I do not get together to often and when we do, I pretty much just listen without taking sides.
So, back to the title and question:
What are you reading? And Is it affecting your life?
The one I had this morning didn’t surprise me. I was up late with fireworks and had to turn the music loud and watch tv with subtitles, so the cats didn’t freak out.
Monkey turned Psycho and bit me twice
and Susy would hear a firework go off and look at me to judge my reaction.
Tara didn’t really care.
Anyway, I usually get Migraines 2-3 times a week equalling to around 14 a month, but the amount usually drops in the Summer! So, the fact I went 4 straight days without one, is awesome!
I am in a Migraine Group on Facebook and one girl gets like 17 a month! When you are only allowed 9 Imatrex per month, that can be tough. Good thing I take them half at a time.
This is something I live with, so, I am not complaining. It’s my main Disability, and a life I am used to. I really don’t remember a life without them, although, I know I had it because these Migraines started in my 20’s. I could go back on Hormones and see if that helps, but that means started periods again, so No Thank You!
Today was bad. I had a Sinus Headache from Hell and slept most of the day. Ordered some Zyrtec online which should be delivered any time now. I sure hope so. I Need to get to the store, tomorrow!
I used to get Sinus Infections all the time, but, it’s rare I get them, now. Actually, it’s pretty rare I get sick much at all now… except Migraines, which isn’t really considered sick… since I don’t experience a lot of stress, anymore. Learning about and applying Boundaries has been amazing for me!
I am considering trying Botox or something again for my Migraines. I think I only tried that once or twice and that was a long time ago, yet, it’s almost a lost cause as, I feel as if I have tried almost everything and there is no cure. I would think since the stress is better; the frequency would be too, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. I get about 14 per month. A really good month is single digits!
We got more rain today with thunder, which was nice. Still probably not enough to help our drought, but it was pleasant to watch come down.
