My Family Is Back

Picked up Monkey and Tara today! It’s so good to have them back! Monkey was a royal Bitch at first, but she is adjusting and wants loads of pets and kisses, now. Tara is great!

My new Manager told me some story about my neighbor chasing off a homeless person and me having to move stuff from in front of my house, faster. Truthfully, I think the story is crap but I am trying to put things in some sort of order as fast as I can. Here is the latest:

You will notice we set the cat tree up and I have a pathway.

I would prefer she just tell me if she wants me to move stuff faster.

The final Secret Santa on Reddit is happening and thankfully, the person I had was easy to buy for.

Future Blessing

Praise God! One of the girls from my Bible Study Group asked her neighbors if they can help me move on Friday and they said Yes! Most of my stuff is coming in on Friday and I will be getting the cats on Saturday, , I hope.

Cin and I painted a bit, today. I really want to do more by myself but can’t tell her that. Here are some progress pics:

I also took some pics the other day of some of Las Vegas, so…

Unhandy Man

This is a short post because I think my sinuses are acting up

The guy I hired to work on the house is a Flake so I got back with my original Handyman who is willing to come tomorrow.

I pray he can do something because Cin and I are at a stopping point and really worn out.

Working Weekend?

My house has arrived!

However, a Handyman might not. The one who responded is way to expensive. Can anyone recommend a low cost Handyman in the Las Vegas/Henderson area? Cin and I are going to see what we can do, by ourselves so… this should prove Interesting. I only have a little over a week left to get my babies back on the 30th.

Just finished watching 20/20 about the Turpin Family. For those that don’t know, 12 children were living in isolation, filth and abuse from their parents. It was quite interesting and a bit sad. The government didn’t help much even after they were free’d.

Donate & Buy

Today is Friday and Cin and I went on a few errands. The PO Box, then the Goodwill.

We went to The Goodwill to drop off a bag and came back with more. Hey, they sell cheap books, what can I say? Plus I got the entire DVD Series (well, the first 7) of SAW which was awesome, and Cin got Yarn since she does Crochet, plus, Hangers, she needed. I love walking through The Goodwill as they put new inventory, out. It’s a never-ending process of revolving items. Although, the one we went to, today (on Nellis) was really empty. That’s the one I have donated most of my stuff, to.

Then, we stopped at the 99 Cents Store really quickly so I could grab some Christmas Wrap and Scotch Tape. Cin can’t hang on to stuff long enough to wrap it. Lol.

Lastly, came home and ordered Pizza.

Called and checked on Tara and Monkey today.

I am grateful they are adjusting. Although, I still miss them terribly and look forward to getting them back.

Weather, Observations, & Memory

It’s a majorly, windy day here in Las Vegas and the wind is cold! Please pray it isn’t windy or rainy on Saturday, when I actually move!

Speaking of moving, I love watching other people move. I don’t even mind helping. Seeing what people own gives you a glimpse of their lives. The neighbors were back, yesterday, and moving out more stuff. Leather Sofas, a Dresser, a large Television Set and plenty of toys for their two little ones. These are the neighbors across the way, that I thought were already gone.

I remember years ago, I helped my apartment neighbor move. She was a major Hoarder and had boxes and boxes of things never opened; as well as brand new clothes that would never fit her size. I found a really pretty dress that was my size and I took it. Yes, it was stealing. But, in my defense, she wasn’t paying me and when I said she could keep a few things at my place, she put so much in, my cats and I literally had a pathway and it was a fire hazard. I had to get a friend to take all her crap to her parents place which was a half hour or 45 minute drive, to get it to her! I did buy a Rocking Chair from her, though..and have since asked and received Gods’ Forgiveness for that theft.

Quiet Paper Work Day

It was quiet so I spent time sorting paperwork.

That is, until I got frustrated and said Screw It! Packing the rest in a box and vowing to get a Shredder in the future.

Speaking of boxes, I think mine are multiplying by themselves.

I counted 52, but I am sure I missed a few, and I still have the kitchen and clothes to pack! My Goodwill bag is also filling up, which is a plus, but, damn..where does all this stuff come from? I am thinking if I can put some smaller boxes in some bigger ones, it will at least bring the total down.

The one thing I will miss when I move is seeing The Stratosphere out my kitchen window at night, so, I took some pictures.

Enjoy!

It’s the red light above one of the houses. One of the neighbors have lights up which the flash bounced off, on the far left.

Migraines, Moving & Holidays

It’s been a bad start of the month with Migraines. Between the Flu Shot, Cat Stress and a Dirty Heater Vent.

Yesterday was a Double! But no more side effects from the Flu Shot, I am using extra blankets, and no reason to stress over the cat situation. I have booked rooms (Kitty Cottages) at a Pet Hotel called, Animal Inns. They have great reviews and take all types of animals! I recommend checking out the website. Plus, Monkey and Tara will be able to see each other and have playtime together. Monkey isn’t much for sharing a room though, so I couldn’t book them, together. I am looking at this as Vacation Time for the animals!

Plans have changed a bit. Suzy is going to Cin’s a few days, prior. Monkey and Tara go to the hotel on Friday, and Saturday, the big move takes place. This is in two weeks.

Still debating on movers or help from workers in front of Home Depot, etc.. Can anyone in Las Vegas recommend reasonable local movers?

I can’t finish this without observing what today is:

Columbus Day

and now,

Indigenous Day

Any parades scheduled to celebrate either? Or, is it just another whole group of people that can be happy their group will be acknowledged per the Calendar?

Another Box Checked

Tossed and turned all night before developing a Migraine. Was up at 3 a.m. praying for guidance and peace.

I told God I am going to say a prayer before every house search or call regarding this move, from now on.

Boarding is set for Monkey and Tara. They will be staying at Animal Inns. They gave me a 15 percent discount if paying by the month but said if I get them earlier, they will refund the unused amount. I pray it doesn’t take a month to find somewhere.

I am going to take Suzy with me to Cin’s which is going to be an adventure.

We had some rain this morning, which was nice and now it is really windy and chilly. I have already started using the heater, at night.

Temporary & Flu Shot

I checked on a few Siegel Suites today, thinking at least I could keep my cats with me but they don’t allow 3 animals. I also tried The Suites which do but they charge almost $500. a week! That is absolutely insane! Tra said she would take them but she has 3 cats and a dog and doesn’t want to keep my girls separate from hers, which I think will cause serious problems. So, my final option is probably going to be boarding them at the vet for a while. It sucks and I feel bad, but I really hope something opens quickly so it won’t be for to long. I would like to get them out around the 16th or so and me out around the 20th, so I have time to come back and clean this place.

I went for my Physical today and while there, I had my Flu Shot. That was around 3. Within the last hour, I am starting to get achey and sweaty. Ugh. It’s 6 now.

Cin and I tried Panera Bread. We were going to try Pizza Rev but I guess they are permanently closed. Panera Bread was okay, but not overly impressed. My Flatbread Pizza was blah and their topping options are minimal for the price. I took a lot home and will fix it up with Garlic and Olives for next time. Cin wasn’t overly impressed with her Chicken Noodle Soup Bread Bowl either, but the actual Baguette served on the side, was fresh.
