Migraines, Moving & Holidays

It’s been a bad start of the month with Migraines. Between the Flu Shot, Cat Stress and a Dirty Heater Vent.

Yesterday was a Double! But no more side effects from the Flu Shot, I am using extra blankets, and no reason to stress over the cat situation. I have booked rooms (Kitty Cottages) at a Pet Hotel called, Animal Inns. They have great reviews and take all types of animals! I recommend checking out the website. Plus, Monkey and Tara will be able to see each other and have playtime together. Monkey isn’t much for sharing a room though, so I couldn’t book them, together. I am looking at this as Vacation Time for the animals!

Plans have changed a bit. Suzy is going to Cin’s a few days, prior. Monkey and Tara go to the hotel on Friday, and Saturday, the big move takes place. This is in two weeks.

Still debating on movers or help from workers in front of Home Depot, etc.. Can anyone in Las Vegas recommend reasonable local movers?

I can’t finish this without observing what today is:

Columbus Day

and now,

Indigenous Day

Any parades scheduled to celebrate either? Or, is it just another whole group of people that can be happy their group will be acknowledged per the Calendar?

Getting Better

I was feeling better this morning and ready to go on a walk when I was suddenly worn out and took a 3 hour nap. So, I am getting better, but not there, yet.

I did laundry and set appointments for shots for the cats, as well as an appointment for Monkey to see the vet on Monday. I think she might have a UTI which she gets, periodically. I have to pick up some Gabapentin tomorrow for her appointment because the vet can’t touch her, otherwise. Monkey turns into a wild animal.. hissing and headbutting the carrier. It even freaked Tra out when she went with me one time, and Tra doesn’t freak out over much.

I also found a possible vet which will Board them at approximately $300 a month, I just have to decide if I want to go that way. Cin is seriously considering 5 cats in her trailer, but there is no room for the litter boxes.

I am also looking into paying over $600 for an apartment for a few months, but it can’t be much over and I still need them to accept all 3 cats.

Still lots of decisions to be made and a few more weeks left to make them.

Still Blah

I don’t have the Flu. But I have Flu Symptoms which is almost as fun. Periodically sweating, can hardly stay awake, aching muscles, low appetite…

In good news, I have set a moving date and reserved storage. Still need to figure if I want Cin to drive the truck or get some actual Movers. Gotta take the cats in next week for shots so hopefully I will get a good deal on Boarding.

Tra won’t be happy; but, they are My babies and I have to do what’s best for them!

Short, Long, Day

To much was done in a short amount of time which made it a long day!

Buyer, Cin and I went to Accessors Office to have them sign the Title for updated taxes. Then, to a Notary in the same office. Then to the Manufactured Housing Division, about 15 minutes away to get a Transfer Form and to the bank in same building to get it Notarized, then back upstairs to turn in. When sworn before the Notary; I was asked if I wanted the words “To God” included. You bet I do! Migraine started about 2:30 and by 4:30, I was dying. Part of it was No Caffeine since the morning or food the other part was Stress. But, it is officially done!

Came home and went down with a Migraine.

Now, it is simply a matter of something coming up, soon. I know I won’t be Homeless, but I would really prefer not to split my little family up. Please pray God’s got this!

Apple Prompt

The Prompt or word of the week at Confusing Middle is Apple. Before I get to it, why don’t you check out the Blog? It’s very interesting and fun. Tell him, Venus sent you. Then, Come Back!

As most of you know, I love to read. Mainly True Stories but a few Fiction Series, as well. The-Flowers-In-The Attic series is one of my favorites. For those of you who don’t know, it’s about 4 children who live in the attic of their Grandparents house and how they escape..or not..but, the books go further to afterwards and when the children grow up and have families of their own. ….What the heck does this have to do with Apples?..I’m glad you asked. Well, actually I am getting there….. In one of the books, a child gets a puppy and names it ‘Apple’! That’s the first thing that came to my mind when I read the Prompt. No, I am not going to tell you what happens to Apple or the children in later years. You need to read the books.

I’ve been sick today and almost went to the hospital. Okay, No, I just really considered it. It is mainly bronchial but with a sore throat, sinus and a terrible headache that wouldn’t quit. But, it finally did, and I took Mucinex, which I think helped a bit. Oh well..I was just thinking that I haven’t been sick in a while and it’s not like I had major (or any) plans this weekend.

Oh, and in case I forgot. Look what came yesterday!

I think it’s the most expensive pillow I have ever had. It’s Sealy with soft, Memory Foam on one side and Firm on the other. I think they call it ‘Alternative Memory Foam”.

How I Feel

It’s been really weird. I have been lethargic, like total lack of energy with headaches and nausea. I slept like forever! On and off since around 5 last night until 8 this morning. Add a Migraine to that around 9:30 last night. I am still not myself, yet..but need to try to fight this. I don’t believe it’s COVID and am not going to the doctor unless it continues for a few more days.

CDC has a COVID Tracer which I installed on my phone, but it’s a bit stupid because it traces by zip code. Zip codes cover large areas; wouldn’t that just make people nervous if there was a case? I am probably going to uninstall that app in a few.

My new Realtor never called yesterday, like she said she would and I made myself stay awake for that! I am going to call the office, today. I need to know the next step. I have a For Sale sign ready, but not sure when to set it up. Or, if I would do better with a Realtor. What is it about businesses and their employees lack of communication?

My Day Was Off

Today was a Lab day which threw my body (Head) off! On Lab Days, I fast before, then my eating schedule is all thrown off!

I seriously need a new Nephrologist, as, once again, she tried to throw in tests to a tune of $400. My Pay, which I am Not covering! I may start looking for someone else, tomorrow.

Today, I signed up for a new Realtor..after talking to my Ex-Mortgage Girls’ Supervisor, yesterday. That stupid girl doesn’t even work for the company anymore! She just up and quit, leaving me in the cold! Anyway, her supervisor is nice and actually sent me the PreQual, so I have it now.

I swept and mopped the back room again, today, as, Monkey tends to pee on the floor when she feels like it! I swear, if she were a real Monkey, she would be throwing her Poo!

I also received a really cool surprise from my Secret Santa! A Mini IstaCamera in Grape. Seriously, I think the guy spent over $100!. People are freaking out since Secret Santa is ending!

Lastly, D. is still in jail…I hope he rots there!..But, Bruno has been picked up by the Rescue!

Isn’t he sweet? I feel as if I could touch him! Please pass the word, if you know anyone interested. He really is a good dog! I am now done checking on D. since he didn’t get Bruno back. I would say it’s sad because D. has now lost Everything! But, He chose Drugs! Nobody chose it for him!

My day ended in a Migraine which doesn’t surprise me. But, it was a normal one which means sleeping about 3 hours after taking meds, so, I am awake now and it’s almost 9 p.m.

Semi-Lucky Day

Both my doctor appointments today were jokes and not in a laughing way.  My Primary was confused about the Prolia and could not explain clearly how things are done, so, I didn’t get the injection.

Then my Nephrologist jumped all over me for not seeing her for over a year when she told me to wait because COVID-19 had just started.  So, I waited til I had both my vaccines.  She also got annoyed when I told her I can’t get an Ultrasound because I have a hard time holding urine.  I swear, after I move, I might just get a new Nephrologist.  Oh, and now she wants me to buy a Blood Pressure Machine!

On the flip side, Cin and I went gambling and I started with $20. she loaned me, but ended up making approximately $200. After gambling a bit more, paying her back, plus getting lunch and dinner, I still brought quite a bit home.

As for lunch, we tried the new PT’s Pub at Arizona Charlie’s on Decatur and it was horrible! The food was tasteless, the cheese was weird and the service was way to slow. I definitely don’t recommend it.

Slow Sunday

In actuality, the entire weekend was slow and I didn’t accomplish much.

But, I definitely accomplished eating!  MyFitnessPalApp told me if I ate the way I did yesterday, for the next 5 days; I can gain 20 pounds!  Well, isn’t that a lovely reminder to get off my butt and move.  No, MyFitnessPal App didn’t actually talk, it wrote those words in the summary.

I didn’t even listen to church, yesterday..so will definitely do that today. I have been listening to James White who is a powerful Christian debater who defends Christianity from a biblical perspective: and, his views on Catholicism and Homosexuality, among others, on Sermon Central.

I did have a long chat with my BFF and caught up with my friend in Texas, though.

We had a little bit of rain yesterday though not enough to fill our lake. And, I believe there is a 46 percent chance of rain, today.

Happy Monday!

Sneaky Doctor

So, I went to the Lab today for my Nephrologist and the Phlebotomist (that’s the one who takes blood, for those who don’t know) goes, “Does your insurance usually cover this?”. I’m like, “Yes, I never had a problem, before.”. Then she tells me the doctor added two tests (one a vitamin and one for Iron) that aren’t covered and cost $300 + dollars. I’m like, “Nope. Not paying for those.”. So, I had her delete them from the test. My appointment is on the 5th and if my Nephrologist (Kidney Specialist) says anything, I might just tell her if she wants to pay 300 or whatever dollars, I’ll go back and do it.

Speaking of money, …I was…. I gave a Homeless Bag to a guy who really needed it! Like this guy was totally shaking, and shuffling and in his own world. I don’t know if he was tripping on illegal drugs or what, Hey, maybe he was out of his medicine he can’t afford… it’s not my business. I did say an extra prayer for him, though. It made me feel good to help someone who Really needs it.

See you all tomorrow, and hopefully everyone will think of at least one thing they learned this week, to share with the class.HA! Haven’t decided yet if I will title it, ‘Saturday Share’ or ‘Sharing Saturday’. What sounds better?
