Not Doing Things Today

I didn’t do anything I meant to, today.. like paperwork. But I did talk to and decide to try a different Realtor. I swear, these Realtors all start out gung ho and happy, then they fade into oblivion when they can’t find anything. Luckily, per Nevada law, I can switch as much as I want as long as I don’t sign anything, officially.

Watched some 9/11 shows since the 20th Anniversary is tomorrow. I do this every year as a reminder of something I will really never forget.

My Puma would have been 17 years old, today.

I miss my beautiful, Bengal (“Bear Cub)

The other day, I accomplished this!

My Ex’s Graffiti Tag was on it. So, I covered it up. He actually painted it originally, which is okay.

Lastly, we got some Monsoon Rain which was nice. Probably didn’t help our drought much and definitely didn’t cool us off, but better than nothing.

The Last Olympic Games

This is the last Olympic based Blogger Game about Paul at The Captain’s Speech. This time, the questions are True Or False about Him. Once again, I encourage you to check out his blog at ‘Captain’s Speech’ and once again, my answers are in Bold:

1. I used to have two pet fish named “Fish E.” and “Binoculars”.
A) True
B) False

2. I got lost in an Olive Garden (the restaurant).
A) True
B) False

3. I found $5 in a book at the public library.
A) True
B) False

4. I was vacuuming the house at Age 3.
A) True
B) False

5. I fell in a puddle at recess in elementary school.
A) True
B) False

6. I don’t drink coffee.
A) True
B) False

7. I keep a lucky penny in my sock.

8. I prefer to use a pencil instead of a pen.
A) True
B) False

9. I like cauliflower with tomato sauce.
A) True
B) False

10. I normally eat dinner after 7PM.
A) True
B) False

And now, a few questions from Paul, but I might not answer them all…See what I did there?  They are:

Did you have any pets? Have you ever gotten lost? Have you ever found money? Are you a cleaner? When was the last time you fell? Do you drink coffee? Do have any superstitions? What do you like to write with? What cooked vegetables do you like? When do you eat dinner?

My blogs official name is CatsandCoffee and my blogs title is Midlife Cat Lady so, Yes, I have pets. 3 beautiful cats! I had 4 but lost Puma to Liver Failure last February. I had to throw that in because I still miss her! I have always been an animal person having had Dogs, Cats, Hamsters and Fish growing up! I answered the Coffee question also, this way. I can’t start my day without Coffee. I do go to Starbucks once in a while for my Vanilla Latte with two extra pumps Vanilla, but not to often.

Am I a Cleaner? I’ll take the 5th. Lol. Actually, I do clean but I could probably do better. My mother was like model home level clean and I prefer more the Lived-In Look.

I am very klutzy so I Fall a lot. I don’t remember the last time, though.

No, I am not Superstitious. I believe in God and really think Superstition comes from the other side.

I prefer Pens verses Pencils. Especially, Pens with Purple Ink!

When Do I Eat Dinner? – Well, the good thing about being an Adult and living alone is, I eat when I am hungry. Although, I try not to eat a full meal to late and to cut Caffeine off, early.. unless I am out somewhere super late since Caffeine keeps me awake.

Cooked Vegetables? – I love steamed Cauliflower, Frozen (defrosted and cooked obviously) Peas & Carrots, Corn On The Cob, steamed Artichokes…I could probably go on..but it just makes me hungry.

Anyway, I look forward to more Blogger Games in the future and am looking forward to seeing the final scores after this one.

Saturday Sharing

Welcome to todays installment of What I Learned This Week.

Please join the discussion in the Comments

First, I learned if you switch phone plans and phones periodically, you can really save money!  Cricket had a great deal which included a Free Phone at $5.00 a month for the next 6 months with Autopay. This is actually a government program for those who qualify, and the phone is a Cricket Ovation 2 with 5 g. which is really good.

The 2nd thing I learned is about the Tarantula:

The male Tarantula is the one that goes looking for a mate. If he sees a nest and maybe a females leg hanging out of it, he knocks…. Pay close attention to the next part. It’s funny and creepy as hell….The female meets the male at the entrance and if she likes him, she approves. If she doesn’t like him. She eats him! Imagine? Knock..Knock… “Hello,. Oh Hell No, You are totally ugly and have an attitude. But, I am hungry and now you won’t waste anyone else’s time!”…

Oh, but it gets worse..

.So, the female has approved. Now the male…. probably to make sure the female doesn’t change her mind…stuffs his ladies mouth with some webbing..a gag, if you will….Bet, you never knew Tarantulas were kinky! But alas, their not. He has to use his hands/claws/legs? to get his juices/etc and put them inside the woman…How sadly unromantic is that?

I also learned a male Tarantula can live 12-14 years, if he doesn’t get eaten.

I actually learned more about Tarantulas but am starting to get itchy writing this, so I will end, here.

Looking forward to hearing/reading what you learned.

Saturday Sharing

Another Saturday.. Hope you’ve all had a good week.

What did I learn this week?

That my doctors can be annoying and some need a much better bedside or professional manner toward their patients.

That you can find some very interesting and nice things, while Thrifting..if you are willing to look.

That if you’re patient and have faith, good things can happen.. like finally reaching my credit goal for a Pre-Approval Letter.

Please be willing to share what new things you have learned this week. A lot of you are not going to get a passing grade when it comes to participation! Lol

Saturday Sharing

Things I learned this week.

I answered a question on Reddit about what you believe happens when you die, and was accused of taking the easy way out with Paschal’s Wager.  I didn’t even know what that was!  I just answered with my belief.  And, No, I am not going to share the definition.  You get to look it up.

I also looked up the meaning of the word, ‘Dalliance’ so, you could say I learned that, too.

I also learned that I really don’t want to visit Disneyland much anymore because the Racism crap is getting ridiculous. They are redoing all the rides I grew up with and even took out the song ‘Zippity-Doo-Da’ due to being Racist and having roots from ‘Song-Of-The-South’.

I learned a lot of ways to kill a tree (Don’t Ask).

But, the main thing I learned this week is that Red Hot Candy gives me Migraines. I am pretty sure it’s the red dye because I have no problem with Cinnamon. Red Hots are one of my favorite candies, but after having Migraines for 4 days straight, I have no problem going back to missing out.

What did you all learn?

Don Henley – The Heart Of The Matter Lyrics – video Dailymotion

The Confusing Middle has given us the word, ‘Forgiveness’ as this week’s Prompt. Before I get into this:. Why don’t you go visit the site? It’s really cool and thought provoking….I’ll Wait…

Twiddling my thumbs…do do do do, do do do, do do do do,..do,.. do do do do do, thinking weird thoughts, hmmm..do I have time to o…Oh, You’re back? Great! Hope you are a new Follower for them, now.

Okay, So the first song I think of when thinking of Forgiveness is the one above.

But, Forgiveness does not have to be romantic. God say to forgive others 70 x 7, I believe…I could be mistaken. I know there are a lot of 7’s….

Anyway, Forgiveness does not mean forgetting or that the hurt is gone. Emotional and even physical healing takes time. It doesn’t mean you have to let those people back in your life, either. Forgiveness means you can keep going through life without the hardness in your heart or your need for revenge. It means learning about and setting up Boundaries that you decide and will accept.

So, there’s my post on Forgiveness, and if you didn’t like it, Forgive Me for wasting your time.

Weekly Prompt

My friend over at Theconfusing middle.com gives a Prompt each week. I don’t always participate, as, some Prompts just don’t pertain, but this one is interesting. Before I get into it, why don’t you consider visiting the site? After, you read this. Tell them Venus sent you!

The word for the week is:

NEEDLE

Now, I am a woman who can’t sew, and have no desire to learn. In Home Ec in High School, it took half a semester to make a Patchwork Pillow and an ugly Dress..most of which, my teacher did. Knots annoy me and I don’t have the patience to deal with threading a Needle.

Of course, one can’t refer to the Needle without mentioning the “Needle in the haystack.” comment. How it got there in the first place should be considered..I mean, who sews while sitting in hay? Never mind how to find it. Heck, just play in the hay, you’ll find it by getting stabbed..Now, finding a contact lens in shag carpet is more relative to my life.. and a story for another day. But, I digress.

The last type of Needle, I want to discuss, are doctors Needles. Shots, or even the ones to take blood. Having spent the first two years of my life in the hospital and follow up appointments over the years, I am used to Needles. Heck, I have even given myself shots before, when Imatrex came in injection. Needles can be scary, but a necessary part of our health.

And that’s just some examples of Needles. If you want to get literal, there’s Needles, California and Needles plants in the desert.

Learning Saturday

You’ve all heard the expression “You learn something new every day.”. Well, I have chosen to take it a step further. I am going to share a few new things each Saturday that I learned during the week. You can join me in the comments.

Let’s start today, shall we:

A friend of mine had Hemmhorroids really badly and went to the doctor where he rubber banded them so they will fall off. Needless to say, I learned about that procedure.

I also learned the difference in colored verses white Cauliflower. The colored Cauliflower has more vitamins and antioxidants, then the white.

Lastly, I also Googled and learned about Monkeypox. There is a case in Texas, now.

Okay, tired now. Looking forward to reading about anything new you learned or did.

Prompt = Father

This Prompt it brought to you by Peckapaloosa over at The ConfusingMiddle.com. If you haven’t checked out his site, you should! After, you read this Post…and, be careful! No running with scissors or knives… Okay, now that that’s covered:

I am not really into Father’s Day anymore, since my Father has passed. My Mother is also gone but I have friends who are Mother’s plus, I am an animal Mother..but, I digress;

Growing up as a Catholic, we used to call our Priest, “Father” which I now know is totally wrong, for many reasons.

The only one I call and actually have for a “Father” is God! He is the Father,Son and Holy Spirit. He is here to listen when I need to talk and teaches me patience, as well, as the right way to live. He understands me and we have a good relationship. My earthly Father, I called, ‘Dad’ and you bet I miss him. I was a ‘Daddy’s Girl’ but, I am still Christ’s Child and he has taken over since my earthly parents have gone.

Truthfully, I believe they should call ‘Father’s Day’ ‘Dad’s Day’. But, that’s just my opinion.

My New Friend

Before I share this, I want you to know, I watched an interesting movie yesterday which I will be reviewing tomorrow, probably.

Also, my house/mobile home is half painted. Not sure I care for the color, but it’s approved by the park, it will look cleaner and I should be able to sell this place which is what really matters and the main reasons I did this.

And now, I would like to introduce you to:

Jason Voorhees! Friday-The-13th

He is here and he is going to be my bodyguard and house security. That’s his job.
