Saturday Sharing

Things I learned this week.

I answered a question on Reddit about what you believe happens when you die, and was accused of taking the easy way out with Paschal’s Wager.  I didn’t even know what that was!  I just answered with my belief.  And, No, I am not going to share the definition.  You get to look it up.

I also looked up the meaning of the word, ‘Dalliance’ so, you could say I learned that, too.

I also learned that I really don’t want to visit Disneyland much anymore because the Racism crap is getting ridiculous. They are redoing all the rides I grew up with and even took out the song ‘Zippity-Doo-Da’ due to being Racist and having roots from ‘Song-Of-The-South’.

I learned a lot of ways to kill a tree (Don’t Ask).

But, the main thing I learned this week is that Red Hot Candy gives me Migraines. I am pretty sure it’s the red dye because I have no problem with Cinnamon. Red Hots are one of my favorite candies, but after having Migraines for 4 days straight, I have no problem going back to missing out.

What did you all learn?

Don Henley – The Heart Of The Matter Lyrics – video Dailymotion

The Confusing Middle has given us the word, ‘Forgiveness’ as this week’s Prompt. Before I get into this:. Why don’t you go visit the site? It’s really cool and thought provoking….I’ll Wait…

Twiddling my thumbs…do do do do, do do do, do do do do,..do,.. do do do do do, thinking weird thoughts, hmmm..do I have time to o…Oh, You’re back? Great! Hope you are a new Follower for them, now.

Okay, So the first song I think of when thinking of Forgiveness is the one above.

But, Forgiveness does not have to be romantic. God say to forgive others 70 x 7, I believe…I could be mistaken. I know there are a lot of 7’s….

Anyway, Forgiveness does not mean forgetting or that the hurt is gone. Emotional and even physical healing takes time. It doesn’t mean you have to let those people back in your life, either. Forgiveness means you can keep going through life without the hardness in your heart or your need for revenge. It means learning about and setting up Boundaries that you decide and will accept.

So, there’s my post on Forgiveness, and if you didn’t like it, Forgive Me for wasting your time.

Writers & Readers

Most Writers seem to also be avid Readers so I decided to update you on what I am reading now.

I am still reading ‘The Rise And Fall Of The Third Reich’ which is a tough one and cannot be read like a normal, easy, reading book since it is about the War! The chronological events of Hitler’s moves as well as the other countries, and how the war started and ended.

So, having run out of other reading material…as, most is packed…I went to Tra’s and got my ‘Wind In The Willows’ book back to reread, as well as, borrowed another book from her. She just got a few used books from someone else… Anyway, today, I started reading ‘Mark Twain A Connecticut Yankee In King Arthur’s Court’.

I know I should be writing more, as, I have stories started, but I am really hoping to have an office space set up to help with that, in the near future. I just can’t seem to focus on it, now.

So, let’s hear your book updates at the moment, if you are Readers as well as Writers.

What Are You Reading?

My turn to share…
Paul says: Tell me about you and food. What do you like to eat? What don’t you like to eat? What foods are overrated? What condiments do you stay away from? Any fun food stories from your past?

Let’s see, I am a Flexitarian which means I am a Vegetarian but I also eat Fish and Chicken, occasionally.  When, I did eat meat, I enjoyed Liver. I have always been a picky eater… partially because I have a rare, metabolic disorder and most food would cause me to hurl…. but as I grew older I have branched out to a lot of different cuisines. I love Italian, but not Tomato Sauce.. although, I do like Tomato Paste. I think the main cuisines I am not overly fond of are Hawaiian and Mexican. Although, there was the time we went to a Luau in Hawaii and I finished my and my parents Poi before they explained what it was. I really couldn’t figure out why they served Chocolate Pudding before dinner. HA!

Anyway, I believe I Bolded my answers.

Check out, The Captains Speech if you want to participate.

Cleaning Motivation

After talking to my BFF on Sunday, I finally finished mopping the floor, yesterday. BFF is a bit of a Hoarder and a slob…. this is not to be offensive. It is a basic fact….but, she was trying to get organized, as, her 17 year old son just got his room together and even painted his dresser in the Avengers theme. Anyway, her sending me before and during photos motivated me to finish the floor. I am encouraging her to continue. Her place could look really cute if she took pride in her belongings and collections, plus, it might even help her children who have picked up her bad Un-Cleaning habits.

Remember K? the one that acts like she is better than me, almost ruined my Donny Osmond Concert, and showed her true colors? Well, I have blocked her numbers so she tried to reach me via Facebook Friend Request. She has told me before that she rarely uses Facebook except for family! The girl drives Uber; if she really wants to reach me, she knows where I live…But, truthfully, I rather enjoy being drama free and don’t want to start that again. I may level her with truth, if she shows up. We obviously have nothing in common and need to let the friendship go.

Slow Sunday

In actuality, the entire weekend was slow and I didn’t accomplish much.

But, I definitely accomplished eating!  MyFitnessPalApp told me if I ate the way I did yesterday, for the next 5 days; I can gain 20 pounds!  Well, isn’t that a lovely reminder to get off my butt and move.  No, MyFitnessPal App didn’t actually talk, it wrote those words in the summary.

I didn’t even listen to church, yesterday..so will definitely do that today. I have been listening to James White who is a powerful Christian debater who defends Christianity from a biblical perspective: and, his views on Catholicism and Homosexuality, among others, on Sermon Central.

I did have a long chat with my BFF and caught up with my friend in Texas, though.

We had a little bit of rain yesterday though not enough to fill our lake. And, I believe there is a 46 percent chance of rain, today.

Happy Monday!

Saturday Sharing

Hey, it’s Saturday, and this is the part of my blog where I share what I have learned this week. I hope you will join me and share what you’ve learned, in the comments.

1. A Whale is related to the Hippopotamus. This actually came from a blog I Follow, but I can’t find the person to give credit to, so, if it’s you…Thank You!

Facts from ‘The Gentle Barn’ in California. ‘The Gentle Barn’ is an animal rescue organization that rescues abused farm animals. I totally want to visit! Can we say Bucket List item? They even encourage you to Hug A Cow! Okay, back to things learned:

2. The Turkey is the closest living animal to the Dinosaurs. Gives a whole new perspective to Thanksgiving Dinner now, doesn’t it?

3. The Pig actually has dog like tendencies and likes to have their bellies rubbed. *They are also quite smart and they are clean animals when not playing in the mud…but, I knew that.

4. If you are allergic to Wheat (Me) and you usually take GlutenEase Extra Strength, you need to take 2 pills of GlutenEase Regular verses one of Extra Strength, to get the same results. Yeah, that was a tough life lesson.

5. And finally, Critical Racial Theory is now being taught in schools. It’s pretty much Marxism or reverse Racism teaching about all the terrible things White People did, over time

And, the bell has rung so class is over. See you all next week. Same seats. Keep your eyes and ears open to learn something new.

Sneaky Doctor

So, I went to the Lab today for my Nephrologist and the Phlebotomist (that’s the one who takes blood, for those who don’t know) goes, “Does your insurance usually cover this?”. I’m like, “Yes, I never had a problem, before.”. Then she tells me the doctor added two tests (one a vitamin and one for Iron) that aren’t covered and cost $300 + dollars. I’m like, “Nope. Not paying for those.”. So, I had her delete them from the test. My appointment is on the 5th and if my Nephrologist (Kidney Specialist) says anything, I might just tell her if she wants to pay 300 or whatever dollars, I’ll go back and do it.

Speaking of money, …I was…. I gave a Homeless Bag to a guy who really needed it! Like this guy was totally shaking, and shuffling and in his own world. I don’t know if he was tripping on illegal drugs or what, Hey, maybe he was out of his medicine he can’t afford… it’s not my business. I did say an extra prayer for him, though. It made me feel good to help someone who Really needs it.

See you all tomorrow, and hopefully everyone will think of at least one thing they learned this week, to share with the class.HA! Haven’t decided yet if I will title it, ‘Saturday Share’ or ‘Sharing Saturday’. What sounds better?

Weekly Prompt

My friend over at Theconfusing middle.com gives a Prompt each week. I don’t always participate, as, some Prompts just don’t pertain, but this one is interesting. Before I get into it, why don’t you consider visiting the site? After, you read this. Tell them Venus sent you!

The word for the week is:

NEEDLE

Now, I am a woman who can’t sew, and have no desire to learn. In Home Ec in High School, it took half a semester to make a Patchwork Pillow and an ugly Dress..most of which, my teacher did. Knots annoy me and I don’t have the patience to deal with threading a Needle.

Of course, one can’t refer to the Needle without mentioning the “Needle in the haystack.” comment. How it got there in the first place should be considered..I mean, who sews while sitting in hay? Never mind how to find it. Heck, just play in the hay, you’ll find it by getting stabbed..Now, finding a contact lens in shag carpet is more relative to my life.. and a story for another day. But, I digress.

The last type of Needle, I want to discuss, are doctors Needles. Shots, or even the ones to take blood. Having spent the first two years of my life in the hospital and follow up appointments over the years, I am used to Needles. Heck, I have even given myself shots before, when Imatrex came in injection. Needles can be scary, but a necessary part of our health.

And that’s just some examples of Needles. If you want to get literal, there’s Needles, California and Needles plants in the desert.

Hot Topic Burns

A while back, I did a post titled ‘Credit Or Not’. This is sort of a continuation.

I went back and forth with Hot Topic and their Credit Card Customer Service Department only to be told the Hard Pull was a “System Error” on their part. However, in order to get this off my report, I had to write them a letter for them to get hold of Experian. It was their fault! I shouldn’t have to do anything! But, I did that and also said if it was not a “System Error” and they are doing Hard Pulls on purchases verses new customers or late payments, they have lost a customer. What really pisses me off is it takes 30 days per Experian for a dispute to be resolved!

In good news, I received my GlutenEase today which I have been out of for a long time, so Cin is coming to get me so I can get my monthly sandwich from Port-Of-Subs. My stomach is growling just thinking about it.
