When I was growing up, most of us children would go to bed on Christmas Eve listening for the sounds of Bells from Santa’s Sleigh. Of course, sleep would come long before we heard or imagined to hear anything. Jingle Bells or Sleigh Bells produce a distinctive sound. Many Christmas songs are written about Bells for this time of year like ‘Silver Bells’ and ‘Jingle Bells’ plus, even movies reference it, as shown in ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’ with the famous line of “Every time a Bell rings, An Angel gets it wings.”..See what I did there? I tied yesterdays word with todays!..Anyway, church services have also been known to incorporate Bells. In some churches in the U.K.., it’s traditional for the largest Bell to be rung in the hour before midnight on Christmas Eve, and all the Bells rung afterward in celebration!
What’s a Bauble?, you ask? Bauble is another name for ornaments or Balls that hang on the Christmas Tree. It was developed from Old-English.
